PLEASE CALL OUR PARISH

OFFICE TO ADD YOUR NEW

REQUEST. THANK YOU.

A Prayer for Fathers

Almighty God, you have taught us that you are the

Father of us all, And that all fatherhood takes its origin

from you.

You protect us from evil

And provide our daily bread.

You are strength and integrity, blessing and the font of

life.

We thank you, then, for our fathers.

Though human, they are also a reflection of you, Lord

God. They are your gift to us.

We pray for all fathers today.

May they realize the greatness of their vocation

And have the strength to live it without fear.

Forgive their sins, and keep their eyes raised up to you.

To those who still make this earthly journey with us,

Give us the grace to love them as we should;

And to those whom you have called from this life,

Give a special place of honor in the heavenly kingdom

With you, the Father of all.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Parishioners,

On behalf of Msgr. Desmond, Msgr. Kelly,

Fr. Jose, Fr. Tom and myself, congratulations to

all the fathers and father figures of St. Aloysius

parish on this special day. We ask God to

continue to bless you on your vocation. We also

pray for all the fathers who have gone from us,

may they share a special place at the table of the

Lord.

In this Sunday’s Gospel we hear about the

Parable of the Mustard Seed. The main idea

behind this parable, we all know, is that the

Kingdom of God, similar to a mustard seed,

starts small but eventually becomes the largest of

plants. We can see the truth of this in the way the

Church has grown over the centuries.

But, I think the parable can also help those

of us who are seeking to grow in the spiritual life.

The invitation for us would be to start small.

Offer to God small acts of kindness, small acts of

forgiveness, small periods of prayer, and eventu-

ally we will be ready to perform great acts of

kindness, of forgiveness and prayer.

In Christ,

Fr. Juan Jose

MISSION SPEAKER

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN CLASS – NEW FOR 2018-2019 School Year!

For students who miss the October 1st cut-off date, need the “gift of time” or are not developmentally and/or

socially ready to begin Kindergarten in the fall of 2018, Trinity Academy is announcing a new option –

Transitional Kindergarten class. A full day class featuring a small class size, individualized attention and

focus on Kindergarten readiness. This is a great option for children as an alternative to repeating a Pre-K level

class year. Call the office for more details!

Trinity Academy is a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (Pre-K thru 8th grade) dedicated to

providing a nurturing environment, excellent academic instruction, and education for the whole child. For more

information about Trinity Academy – The Catholic School of West Essex – please contact the office
