AN INVITATION TO ALL

FROM
ST. ALOYSIUS ROSARY SOCIETY
The members of the St. Aloysius Rosary Society
extend a cordial invitation as we host our first meeting
of the year on Monday, September 10th at 7 p.m. in
the Parish Center. We gather together once a month
for eight meetings.
We are a loyal group of women dedicated to
Our Blessed Mother and open each meeting with the
recitation of the Rosary. We discuss and plan various
upcoming events and have a prayer service in
Celebration of Mary, a Day of Recollection
at Most Blessed Sacrament Friary in Newark,
a Christmas party, assemble Rosary Beads for our
First Communicants and the Crowing of the
Blessed Mother. We are open to all suggestions by
our members. Our meetings close with coffee, tea
and dessert. It is a wonderful evening of prayer and
good fellowship.
All are welcome and we hope to see you
on September 10th.

Attention
Seniors
What exactly is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults?
The RCIA is the Catholic Church’s way of welcoming new members with enthusiasm and joy!
We invite you to discover and hear about the RCIA process
by attending our upcoming RCIA Gathering on
Sunday, September 30, 2018 at
10 AM in the Parish Center
Who should come?
• Unbaptized adults or adults baptized in another Christian tradition who would like
to explore becoming Catholic
• Baptized Catholic adults who want to be prepared for the celebration of
Confirmation and Eucharist
• Interested members of our parish community who want to share their faith with new
Church members
Why should you come?
• If you are inquiring about the Catholic faith, this is an opportunity to take a step to
explore the possibility of becoming part of the Catholic community through
Baptism.
• If you are a baptized Catholic and want to celebrate Eucharist and/or Confirmation,
this is the way to prepare for full initiation into our Church.
• If you are not Confirmed and wish to serve as a baptismal godparent, this is the way
to prepare for this spiritual endeavor.
• If you are a fully initiated Catholic, this is a way to meet inquirers and share your
love of Jesus and our Church with others.
If you know of someone in your family, neighborhood or workplace who may be
interested in hearing more about the RCIA, please share this invitation with them.
All are welcome!

members of the household of faith. Children should be
baptized in the faith community to which their parents

arrangements. Parents are reminded that godparents
must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and
are actively practicing their faith.

Anointing will be held twice yearly.

underwear to start a new school year.

to those in need. If you would like to
donate, please bring: socks, tee shirts
and underwear in children’s sizes.
