Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time October 28, 2018

The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad indeed.

-- Psalm 126:3

St. Frances Cabrini Annual Holiday Food and Toy Drive begins this weekend, October 27th and 28th. This event is sponsored by the SFC Men's Club, Italian Catholic Federation Branch 191, and the SFC Mexican Catholic Organization.

We will as in years past not only provide assistance to those in our Parish and Cambrian Park area, but also to Christ the King Parish, as well as Star of the Sea Parish.

We anticipate providing assistance to 350 families at Both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We strive to provide each family at both holidays with a turkey or Ham and a box of food.

The distribution dates for our SFC food distribution will be for Thanksgiving, Saturday, November 17th, and for Christmas, Saturday December 15th.

The St Frances Cabrini community has always been so generous in both your financial support, as well as your donations of food and toys.

If you can assist us with your financial support, please make checks out to " St. Frances Cabrini Men's Club", and in the memo section of the check, please note " Holi-day food Drive". Please place your cash or check in an envelope directing it to the holiday food drive, you can place it in the Sunday collection basket or take it directly to the Parish Office.

This operation is handled completely by volunteers. We have no overhead so every penny of your donation goes directly to those we serve.

We are looking for the following food donations for both Holidays: Canned Soup, Pasta, and Pasta Sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, tuna, cereal, packaged rice or noodle, Peanut Butter, Jam, and canned fruit. See next week’s bulletin for more details on food needed.

Please place food donations in the boxes labeled “Holiday Food Drive” in the Vestibule of the Church.

We will also accept donations of clothing , and other used items. You can bring items the day of the distribution, or contact me , or the Parish Office to donate prior to those dates.

If you would like to volunteer you Time and Time on ei-ther distribution date, we meet in the SFC gym starting at 7:30 am and are usually done by noon.

Thank you for your continued support of our annual Food and Toy Drive, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the number below.
