Devotions and Sacramentals Rosary: In the Church Spanish on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. English on Wednesday evenings 6:30 p.m.

Eucharistic Adoration: Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel. A sign up sheet is below the statue of Pope Saint John Paul II.

Baptism: All baptisms will take place at Visitation Church the 1st & 3rd Sunday after 9:30 a.m. Mass. Please call the parish office to schedule a time. A free-will donation should be given to the clergy performing the baptism. Additionally, non-members will be charged $50. Baptism classes are the 3rd Sunday @ 10:30 a.m. in English and the 4th Sunday @ 8:45 a.m. in Spanish.

Marriage: Contact the Pastor at least 6 to 12 months in advance to schedule a wedding and begin marriage preparations.

Reconciliation: Saturday, from 3:30 p.m.—4:10 p.m. and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.—9:15 a.m. in the Church or call the Parish office for an appointment.

Visitation & Anointing of the Sick: Any person home-bound, hospitalized, in the nursing home or advanced in years may notify the Parish Office to receive the Sacraments: Eucharist, Confession/Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick. Parishioners from the Pastoral Care Ministry would be glad to visit. We also offer Friday Communion Calls to the Homebound. Please call the Parish Office if you or someone you know would like to be visited monthly.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA): Anyone wishing to learn more about the Catholic faith or join-ing our Catholic community may call or email the par-ish office.

Religious Education Kindergarten through 8th grade CCD classes meet on Sunday mornings from 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Children should participate in all levels of Religious Education classes so that they can receive the Sacraments. Please enter and exit through the rear/west doors of Visitation Catholic School. Please be mindful of the children’s safety when you drive through the park-ing lot upon leaving the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Toy Drive The Visitation Kindergarten class is sponsoring a Toy Drive to benefit Patchy’s Toy Drive/Salvation Army. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the school until Monday, December 11th.

Holiday Gift Cards If you need gift cards for your holiday gift giving, consider purchasing them from Visitation Catholic School. We are able to order gift cards from over 150 retailers, and the retailers pay the school for selling them (at no addi-tional cost to you!) Orders are placed in the school office at 8am each Tuesday for pick up after 3pm on Thursday. Contact the school office for more details! The holiday order schedule is as follows: Order 12/5 Pick up after 3pm on 12/7 Order 12/12 Pick up after 3pm on 12/14 December 12th will be the last gift card order placed before Christmas break. Regular weekly orders will resume January 9th.

Coming Soon! Chris Colomer and Flex Court are making the new gym floor a reality. Through their generous donation and Capital Campaign money raised by parishioners, a new floor and covering system will be installed Dec. 18th-22nd in the gym which is also used as the parish hall. Thank you all for your generosity!

Christmas Program The Visitation Catholic School Christmas program will be held in the Visita-tion Goetzman Gym on December 13th at 6:15p.m. All are invited!

The Immaculate Conception The Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation, is this Friday, De-cember 8th. The Vigil Mass is on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m., and Friday Masses are 8:30 a.m. and a Spanish Mass at 7:00 p.m.

Kewanee Community Choir Next Sunday, December 10th at 3:00 p.m., the First Baptist Church will present a Christmas Concert. Get 75% Credit on State Taxes Illinois taxpayers can receive state income credits in the amount of 75% of their total qualified contribution through the new “Invest in Kids Act.” Scholarship do-nations may be designated to Visitation Catholic School to provide tuition scholarships for qualifying area families. However, donations may not be di-rected to a specific family. This is a wonderful opportunity for Catholic education in general and Visitation Catholic School in particular.
