POINTS OF INTEREST

The Blessed Massabki Brothers. On 10 July the Maronite Church celebrates the Blessed Massabki Brothers: Francis, Abdel Mooti, and Raphael, who were martyred by the Ottoman Empire for refusing to give up their Christian faith on the night of July 10, 1860, in the Franciscan Church in Damascus, Syria. May their prayers be with us.

Divine Liturgies. We have resumed the public celebration of the Divine Liturgy on the weekends at 4pm on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays at thirty-three percent of the Church’s capacity. We will resume the public celebration of the Divine Liturgy on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9am in the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel beginning on Wednesday, 8 July and continuing for the remainder of the month of July. Anyone attending the Divine Liturgy must wear a facemask or covering, maintain social distancing, and follow the directions of the ushers. Please know that the Church and Chapel are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each Divine Liturgy.

Assumption Pilgrimage. The Annual Assumption Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson, Ohio will be from Thursday through Saturday, 13-15 August. We will not be traveling as a group this year. You are welcome to travel on your own in small groups, if you would still like to attend the pilgrimage. A small block of rooms at the rate of $104 a night will be available until 7 August at the Hampton Inn. You will need to call the hotel at 330-544-0660 and then choose “Option Zero” to reserve your own room. Please state that you are from “Saint Louis Gonzaga.” For more information please contact Deacon Paul.

Thank you. On Sunday, 28 June, we offered our eight graduating high school seniors scholarships toward college. We offer our sincere thanks to the Golf Committee and all those who support our Annual Golf Outing. The Golf Outing supports our youth and young adult programs and the scholarships for our graduating high school seniors.

Pizza Fritte. We will continue to offer drive-thru Pizza Fritte for $2.00 each on Saturday mornings, from 9am to 1pm in the Church Parking Lot. Our sincere thanks to all our supporters and volunteers.
