Reykjavik.Sun 5 Move to Hólar, visit Þingvallavatn, Þingvellir, Hvalfjörður, Blönduós, as time
permits, arrive in Hólar in time for dinner. Reading assignment.Mon 6 Morning: Introduction to the Fish of Iceland, types of rivers and streams found in
Iceland. (Kristjánsson)Midday: Discussion of journal article. Icelandic language.Afternoon: Electrofishing around Hólar.
Tue 7 Tour of the facilities at Hólar University College, history of the University and the area. Visit Verið in Sauðárkrókur and the Icelandic Emigration Center in Hofsós. Reading assignment.
Wed 8 Morning: The Geology of Iceland. (Dr. Þorsteinn Sæmundsson)Midday: Discussion of journal article. Icelandic language.Afternoon: Tour of Skagafjörður with emphasis on geological
formations.(Dr. Sæmundsson is a geologist and Director of the Natural Research
Centre of Northwestern Iceland.)Thr 9 Morning: Temperature Biology of Fishes. Part I. (Williams)
Midday: Discussion of journal article. Icelandic language.Afternoon: Laboratory Activity. Reading Assignment.
