The next generation of SAMIEEE is a web based ad-hoc query tool that provides IEEE volunteers access to IEEE membership data.

before running reports or labels
You don’t have to maintain the entire database on your PC

2 Types of access Automatic Designated
Automatic access is granted to current: Region Directors, Society Officers, Section Officers, Chapter Chairs
and Student Branch Chairs & Counselors. A complete listing can be found at:

Explain the basic process
The IEEE membership database is located in Piscataway, NJ. A snapshot or copy of that database has been made available
for your use. You don’t have to maintain the entire database on your PC. Connect to the IEEE site, formulate a question or query and
retrieve only the information that you need. The result of your query can be printed or downloaded directly
into an Excel spreadsheet or saved as a comma separated value file.
The query can be saved – this is called a reports to be run again at a later time.
Reports can be scheduled to run automatically – weekly, monthly

User Limitation
Maximum concurrent users = 50 A concurrent user limitation has been established to ensure
optimal system performance

Expectations
A simple query could take 5-10 minutes over a DSL, cable or “T” connection
A complex query could take much longer. Queries will not complete if more than 60 minutes
has transpired. Queries can be scheduled to run:
Automatically at certain intervals - weekly/monthly One time only at a specified date and time

Data Integrity
Data is taken directly from IEEE Membership Database.
Much of this data is no longer updated by staff. COA, Renewal, New Member Web Applications
upload the data automatically reducing possibility of data entry error.
80% of members provide email addresses Of those, 80% - 85% are accurate
