Prologue
Vidyuman is an intelligent child, with superior abilities in non -
verbal skills. He is very good in performing arts, loves - dance,
drama, music, and drawing. At the same time Vidyuman is
struggling in various day to day activities. This makes Vidyuman a
laughing stock at every place, be it the classroom, the playground
or any other place. Vidyuman is struggling with his school
performance and often gets labeling by his parents, teachers and
peers. This is resulting in low self-esteem and a failure in making
himself adjusted to the surrounding and people around.
Even though Vidyuman is an intelligent child and is capable
enough, he feels handicapped. Vidyuman needs support. Let’s
understand him and help him to cope-up with his difficulties and
make a bright future for him. He deserves all the happiness and no
discouragement. Different researches and reports estimates 15-20%
of school going children are struggling. In this book, I have tried to
explain the struggles of Vidyuman throughout the day. There are
many more children who also struggle like Vidyuman but
unfortunately are ignored. Let’s understand and give them a bright
future.
I should hide my real feelings!
Oh, my God! They just fly over my head!

Only after his mother’s call Vidyuman woke up but realized he
was still the same simple boy, and not a super boy.
As usual Vidyuman didn’t want to go to school.

test, how was it?
Vidyuman: The test was good but….

Vidyuman: I solved all
the questions correctly

Vidyuman: Oh! I’m so stupid! Nobody loves me.
Vidyuman was lost in his thoughts and wept till the bus arrived.
“Every time I arrange my cupboard but don’t know how I end up
messing it again. I am really stupid because I always do silly
mistakes in exams. I know all the answers but I am unable to
perform well. I can never prove to anyone that I know all the
answers. How much ever I try, I fail everywhere in everything. I
feel handicapped, no one loves me, everyone is right, I’m a stupid.
What do I do, how will I be loved? Sob… Sob… Sob… “
Vidyuman wished to make everybody happy. Thoughts of
becoming funny at times kept coming in his mind as everybody
would laugh at him and he would get the attention he craved for.
