INTRODUCTION
• Samsung is a South Korean multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. It comprises numerous subsidiaries and affiliated businesses, most of them united under the Samsung brand.
• Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-chul in 1938 as a trading company. Over the next three decades, the group diversified into areas including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities and retail. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late 1960s and the construction and shipbuilding industries in the mid-1970s; these areas would drive its subsequent growth.

“The heart and soul of the company is creativity and innovation.”
WHAT IS INNOVATION?
People putting ideas into valuable action.
THE GALAXY BEAM
• Samsung, was the first smartphone company to put a projector inside a smartphone. The Galaxy Beam lets you project images or videos on a wall from up to two meters away. The picture can appear as large as a 50-inch TV set.
THE GALAXY GEAR WATCH
GALAXY K ZOOM
• Smartphone cameras are pretty excellent nowadays, but there are still some people who prefer to carry around point and shoots for their photo-taking needs. That's why Samsung designed the Galaxy K Zoom.
• It’s a smartphone with a telescopic zoom lens attached to the back. But, it's a really good smartphone with a best-in-class camera.
INNOVATION
• When the original Note launched, in October of 2011, it wasn't just a little bigger than the phones of the day.
• Just look at the 5.3-in Galaxy Note (1st generation) next to the most buzzed-about flagship of late 2011, the iPhone 4s (scaled to actual sizes as closely as possible):
• The original Galaxy Note deserves credit for being ahead of its time, and for envisioning a future full of PDA-style mobile devices that can serve as both phone and tablet. That also includes the Note's stylus and productivity-based software features. Samsung was aiming the original Note at "business users," and while that may or may not have been the case, its power user focus forecasted the pocket computers that are today's phablets.
