OBJECTIVE: To obtain a full-time position as a Mechanical Engineer with a growth-oriented organization

allowing me to utilize my current and growing knowledge of mechanical engineering. EDUCATION: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering December 2015 The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH Overall GPA: 3.75 (4.00 scale) HONORS/ ACTIVITIES: Achieved Dean’s List (>3.5 GPA) all semesters of college RELATED COURSES: Fundamentals of Product Design Eng Computer Aided Design & Mfg Mfg Process Eng Electrical Circuits & Electrical Devices Thermodynamics Heat Transfer Fluid Dynamics System Dynamics Mechanics of Materials Measurements & Data Anly Engineering Statistics System Controls Machine Elements I & II Finite Element Analysis Smart Materials EXPERIENCE: Royal Building Products, Marion, VA Engineering Intern, January 2014-June 2014

● Worked with factory engineers and extrusion line operators to improve factory processes ● Engineered new multi-angle emboss machine which mechanized the method to adjust the

angle of the emboss roll and apply pressure to the part. Multiple angles and varied applied pressures allowed for machine to work with multiple part designs and patterns

● Designed ergonomic heat-gun stand for extrusion lines. Used a design strategy which salvaged the many different types of old stands. The heat gun orientation was easier to change and stabilize with the new design, which led to less waste down the extrusion lines due to part changes and profile maintenance

● Worked with CNC milling machine, G-code programming, lathe, grinder, MIG and TIG welding, and drill/tap techniques

● Converted 6 years of hard copy fork lift repair logs to digital Excel spreadsheets and organized logs by date and the type of maintenance performed

● Expanded existing 3D AutoCAD model of factory layout PROJECTS: Capstone Project Classes I & II: March 2015 – June 2015

● Worked on a team of six students to develop a strategy to semi-autonomously clean window sills in Scott Laboratory, the Ohio State Mechanical Engineering building

● Developed a strategy that lowered a cleaning robot onto sill, which then drove on sill with vacuum attached

● Worked as a team to overcome design problems using academic knowledge and design experience, obstacles included wheel friction and balance

● Final design was able to successfully traverse and clean a replica sill, modelled after actual sill

SKILLS: Software and Technology Experience ● Extensive use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint ● Certified SolidWorks Associate ● Solid understanding of HSMWorks, MATLAB, Autodesk CAD, Abaqus, and basic electronics ● Introductory experience with Java, C++, Autodesk Inventor, Simulink, ANSYS, Arduino programming, Magma5, Modex3D, and LabView ● Laboratory experience with oscilloscope, CNC and manual milling machines, lathe, cutoff and band saw, rapid prototyping techniques
