iPhone / iPad – SAP Concur Mobile App iOS 14 Compatible

With this release, the SAP Concur mobile app is now compatible - for mobile app users who have iOS mobile devices (iPhone / iPad) - with the iOS 14 operating

system.



iPhone / iPad – New iOS 14 OS Precise Location Setting Feature

Overview

With this release, Concur Drive users – with the iOS 14 operating system on their iOS mobile devices – will see a new reminder dialog. This message reminds users to ensure that the iOS 14 OS Precise Location setting is enabled on their iOS mobile devices. This setting needs to be enabled so that Concur Drive can track trips accurately.

This dialog appears when a user taps Mileage on the home screen to access Drive. It only appears once to mobile app users, but upon re-authentication, they will see the message again.



NOTE: This message will only appear in the September (9.84) Mobile release and is

targeted to be removed in the October (9.85) Mobile release. A programmatic check will be included in the October (9.85) Mobile release, so that mobile app users - with the iOS 14 operating system on their iOS mobile devices - are not allowed to access Drive unless they have this setting enabled.

With the 9.83 release, SAP Concur mobile app users gained access to the new report entry experience within the mobile app. The new user interface is available exclusively in "preview mode" in implementation environments.



Once SAP has received and addressed customer feedback, a migration of this experience -from implementation environments to production environments - will be scheduled. In the meantime, customers can escalate any detected issues to SAP Concur support.

With this mobile (9.84) release, all mobile app users now have access to the new receipt store and receipt viewer within the report entry experience. There will be additional changes, which will be described in future release notes.

Enable / Disable Experience

This new experience can be enabled / disabled via a toggle on the Additional Features screen in the mobile settings. The toggle is titled Report Entry Experience for the Android mobile devices or Expense Report (New) / Expense

Claim (New) [US / UK] for iOS mobile devices.



Android

ENABLE / DISABLE THE REPORT ENTRY EXPERIENCE


To enable / disable

the Report Entry Experience:

1) On the home

screen, tap (upper-left corner).

2) On the side-menu screen, tap Settings.

3) On the Concur

Settings screen, tap Additional

Features.




4) On the Additional

Features screen, either swipe the

Report Entry Experience toggle to the right or the left.

The new expense details screen will not appear, if the user adds the following expense entries to an expense report:

• Personal Car Mileage, Company Car Mileage, Japan Public Transport

expense types

• Expenses created via itineraries


There are no additional configuration or activation steps. This change is available for implementation entities only.

Receipt Store and Receipt Viewer

The new receipt store and the receipt viewer experience are now available to all SAP Concur mobile app users, regardless if they use the new report entry experience, legacy report entry, or the Available Expenses section within the mobile app. The functionality remains the same, although a few changes were made in order to enhance the user experience.

In the receipt store, swipe your receipts to the left to see additional options or tap on

the receipt to preview it. In the receipt viewer, tap (upper-right corner) to access

more receipt related actions. Swipe left and right to see more receipts or zoom-in and out the receipt as needed.

Android

In the receipt store, swipe a receipt left to see additional options or tap on the

receipt to preview it. In the receipt viewer, tap (upper-right corner) to access more receipt related actions. Swipe up and down to see more receipts or zoom-in and out the receipt as needed.

Any changes since the previous monthly release are highlighted in yellow in this release note.

! IMPORTANT: SAP is delaying the release of Mobile Parity, originally targeted for March 31st, due to an issue discovered in later rounds of validation. This issue specifically impacts the addition of a Direct Connect Hotel to an existing Air booking, which fails processing in TMC's back office procedures. Engineering

teams are currently engaged.

Overview

On March 31, 2020, SAP Concur mobile app users will have the ability to shop, book, and cancel content from Hotel Service V2.

NOTE: Airbnb content remains unsupported in the SAP Concur mobile app.



Example:

USER/CUSTOMER BENEFIT

Travelers expect to be able to book travel on any device. After March 31st, travelers will be able to search, book, and cancel Hotel Service V2-sourced hotels from within the SAP Concur mobile app.


The change is automatically enabled. There are no additional configuration or

activation steps. These updates are enabled automatically for all sites with content that is available through Hotel Service V2 Direct Connect, with the exception of Airbnb.



Planned Changes

Overview


October 19, 2020 -- November 2020

SAP Concur solutions updates the minimum operating system regularly in order to ensure the best possible experience for mobile users. Targeted for the October (9.85) Mobile release, SAP Concur solutions will be updating the minimum supported

operating system to v7.0 (Nougat, API 24).

The September Mobile release (9.84) will be the final release for versions v6.0 (Marshmallow, API 23) of the Android operating system.

Please ensure that the operating system on all user devices has been updated to at least v7.0 (Nougat, API 24).

Be aware that users will not be forced to upgrade their device’s operating system, but

users who do not update older operating systems will not be able to install versions of the SAP Concur mobile app after the 9.85 October Mobile release.

NOTE: For the SAP Concur mobile app – and all other mobile apps – encourage your

users to keep their operating systems (and devices, if possible) current.



**Planned Changes** Android ONLY – Support for Biometric Sign-in

These changes are part of the SAP Concur solutions continued commitment to maintaining secure authentication.

Overview

Targeted for the November (9.86) Mobile release, the SAP Concur mobile app for Android will support biometric sign-in options such as fingerprint authentication (Touch

ID) and face recognition (Face ID).



NOTE: To access the Touch ID and Face ID sign-in options in the mobile app, the desired biometric sign-in method must be enabled and configured on the device.

BUSINESS PURPOSE / CUSTOMER BENEFIT

The addition of support for Touch ID and Face ID provides users with more sign-in options for ease of use.

What the User Sees

On Android devices that support biometric options, the user will be able to enable the

supported biometric authentication type in the mobile app by navigating to Settings > Sign In and selecting the desired biometric option.


Support for biometric sign-in is added to the SAP concur mobile app automatically; however, the desired biometric options must be enabled and configured on the Android

device before they can be enabled in the SAP Concur mobile app.

**Planned Changes** Android / iPhone / iPad – Mobile Deprecation Policy Update

Overview


October 1, 2020 -- January 2021

Targeted for the January (9.87) Mobile release, SAP Concur solutions plans to reduce maintaining mobile app access and security for the current version and previous 6

versions (total of 7 versions) to the current version and 2 previous versions (total of three versions). This means that a user will be signed out automatically if they haven't updated the SAP Concur mobile app over the course of 3 updates (typically 3 months) and is using the fourth most recent version.

For example, users with the 9.84 version of the mobile app on their mobile devices - after the January (9.87) Mobile release - will automatically be logged out of the app. Once users have updated the mobile app on their mobile devices to version 9.85 or higher of the app, they will be able to sign back into the SAP Concur mobile app.

NOTE: Mobile app users - who are on the third most recent version - will be notified via a message in the Message Center and push notifications – that they should update the mobile app to the latest version. Once the user upgrades the

app to the latest version, they will no longer receive these messages and notifications.

Targeted for the November (9.86) Mobile release, SAP plans to retire the automatic sign-in setting in the SAP Concur mobile app. This change coincides with the redesign of the mobile sign-in page which will also be implemented with the November release.

! IMPORTANT: Between the November and March releases, admins should confirm that users are aware of this change.


The retirement of this feature better supports secure authentication by removing the less secure automatic sign-in setting.

What the User Sees

Beginning with the November release, users will see the redesigned sign-in page. The

redesigned sign-in page does not support the automatic sign-in setting.

Between the November release (9.86) and the March release (9.89), users will be able to switch back to the old sign-in page design and, if the autologin property is enabled

for their company, the user will be able to use the automatic sign-in setting in SAP Concur mobile app settings.

NOTE: The following screenshots were taken from an iPhone. The experience is similar

on other devices but might have a slightly different appearance.



Auto Sign-In Settings

The option to switch between the old and new page designs will no longer be available beginning with the March (9.89) release and the auto sign-in setting will no longer be

available.

For a while, SAP Concur mobile app users have had the option to continue using the expense reports legacy user interface via disabling the Expense Report (New) and

Expense Report (New) – Approver toggles on the Additional Features screen in the mobile app settings.

Targeted for the October (9.85) Mobile release, SAP plans to remove the Expense

Report (New) and Expense Report (New) – Approver toggles from the Additional Features screen and mobile users will no longer have access to the expense reports legacy user interface.


This update offers a more streamlined experience to users, while they work with expense reports in the mobile app.

This change coincides with the redesign of the mobile sign-in page which will also be implemented with the November release.

Beginning with the November release, users will be able to switch back to the old sign-in page design and will be able to use the Mobile PIN sign-in option on that page. The option to switch between the old and new page designs will no longer be available beginning with the March (9.89) release.

! IMPORANT: Between the November and March releases, admins should confirm that users are aware of this change and ensure that users can sign in using one of the supported methods listed in this release note.

With the retirement of the mobile PIN sign-in option, users will continue to be able to sign into the mobile app through the following methods:

• Single Sign-On (SSO)

Mobile SSO

SAP Concur SAML v2 SSO (SAML v2)

• Username and password

• Verified email address and password

For companies that have Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled for the web version of SAP Concur solutions, we recommend that they enable SSO on the SAP Concur mobile app,

ideally migrating to SAML v2.

The retirement of this feature better supports secure authentication by removing the less secure PIN option, simplifies the way users sign into the SAP Concur mobile app, and makes the mobile sign-in experience more consistent with the web sign-in experience.

Beginning with the October release (9.85), when users sign in to the mobile app, they will see a message similar to the following notifying them about the upcoming change.

Forgotten Passwords

If a user installs or upgrades to version 9.86 (or later) of the mobile app and they enter their retired mobile PIN in the Password field on the redesigned sign-in page, they will receive a message that the password is invalid and will be prompted to

reenter their password.

NOTE: Between the November (9.86) and March (9.89) releases, users can switch back to the old page design, and can use their PIN to sign in on that page.

Users must have an alternate, supported sign-in method before installing the March (9.89) release.

If a user has forgotten their password, there are several ways they can reset it:

• Users can reset their password by tapping Forgot Password on the sign-in screen.

• Users can reset their password by going to Profile > Profile Settings >

Change Password within the web version of SAP Concur solutions.

NOTE: In some SAP Concur configurations, the ability for users to reset their passwords is disabled. If password reset is disabled and you need to reset your

password, contact your company’s designated resource (for example, a Company Administrator) to address this issue.

Targeted for the November (9.86) Mobile release, the Mobile Sign In page will be redesigned and improved. The enhancements will improve the user experience, improve security, and simplify configuration. It will also assist customers who use

more than one Identity Provider (like OKTA or Azure) for Single Sign-On (SSO).

Beginning with the October release (9.85), when users sign in to the mobile app, they will see a message similar to the following notifying them about the upcoming

changes.




Beginning with the November release, users will see the new sign-in pages and will have an option to switch back to the old sign-in page design. The option to switch

between the old and new page designs will no longer be available beginning with the March (9.89) release.
