New Functions• Extended Analysis

• Extend the analysis capabilities of the core Financials software. • Create additional Standard or Custom Extension fields per Ledger

Analysis Dimension• For example you can define analysis codes based on locations and

location details. • Standard Extension fields are linked to existing Analysis Dimensions

• E.g. Customer to the Project Ledger Analysis dimension• Custom Extension fields are user definable - text, lookup, date/time, numeric

• Property management (lease start/end dates, square metres, landlord (supplier))


New Functions• Currency Rate Types

• You can define different period and daily rates using the same currency conversion pairs within the same period for different purposes.

• You can use currency rate types where separate sets of exchange rates for various financial and reporting purposes are required.


New Functions• Enterprise Data Management – (EDM)

• Dependent on an ION Process allows key master data to be propagated to nominated subsidiary Business Units.

• Example Customers, Suppliers, Items, Currency Rates etc. may all be entered once and copied automatically to other Business Units by newly defined SunSystems Business Object Documents (BODs).

• Business Unit Administration • An easy to use console for managing all Business Units and Business

Unit Groups within a SunSystems installation. • Create, Copy, Synchronize, Take Offline/Put Online.


New Capabilities• Unicode

• A single SQL Server database instance can now store values from multiple character sets inside one database

• SunSystems can now reflect more languages in one database.

• Dynamic Form Compile • Reduce administrative tasks ensuring that users are always working with the most

up to date version of the user interface.

Replace batch Form Compiler and Filter DD Regeneration with an On Demand compilation of forms and generation of filters.


New Functions• Withholding Tax

• Automatic calculation of Withholding Taxes for payment and invoice posting• Now built into standard SunSystems V6• Every country, region, province may have different WT regulations, Withholding Tax

is a very flexible (tax) calculation engine where the end user sets various conditions, thresholds & filters.

SunSystems Requisitioning • Built within SunSystems with no additional Technology Layer• To enable you to raise requisitions for purchases• Automation of the procure to pay process• Role Based – Requisitioner, Approver and Buyer


New FunctionsStatic data on-boarding• Status settings are applied to Accounts, Assets, Customers and Suppliers

• Currently new static data records are set to open• New status introduced of “Draft”• 6.3 allows for reference data to be automatically created as draft

• SunSystems Online Help• Help for SunSystems now moves to the cloud available at Docs.infor.com and

supports the same rich help as previous versions, but is now accessible from anywhere. The online help will benefit from more frequent updates and stronger searching capabilities.
