    VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

    SAPPK is a Pakistani development organization working for the uplift of the poor andmarginalized communities of Pakistan. It seeks the following qualified and experiencedindividuals for the different Projects with the goal to enhance democratic, gendersensitive,responsive governance, livelihoods development, conflict resolution, and support durable peacein Baluchistan.

    POSITIONS: SENIOR ENGINEER (CPI)SENIOR ENGINEER (Water Management)

    Location: Regional Office Gawader

    Major ro les and responsibilit ies:1. Complete adherence of SAP-PKs vision, mission, strategic objectives and policies at all

    levels, and suggest/recommend changes for efficient and effective system development;2. Develop and implement a result based infrastructure schemes in an efficient, effective

    and timely manner and also facilitate the community partners in file preparation ofinfrastructure schemes.

    3. Provide guidance and support to the community partners regarding implementation ofinfrastructure projects; also conduct social, technical and environmental feasibility ofinfrastructure project.

    4. Strengthen and capacitate the operation and maintenance committees related to variousinfrastructure projects, by providing guidelines for operation and maintenance of thecompleted projects.

    5. Maintain an updated and proper record of water, energy and community infrastructureboth at project level and at unit level.

    6. Insure installation of proper sign boards of completed projects.7. Participate in project review committee meetings and seek approval of water, energy

    and community infrastructures as per SAP-PKs approval procedures.

    8. Conduct engineering surveys of approved water, energy and community infrastructureprepare cost estimates and negotiate terms of partnerships (ToPs) and initiateagreements with the communities.

    9. Recommend installments against approved schemes and after the approval prepare anddeliver cheque(s) to the relevant committees etc.

    10. Ensure and facilitate timely completion of the water, energy and communityinfrastructures initiated as per requirements of the design approved by SAP-PK.

    11. Conduct process monitoring visits and report to Regional Manager for developingoperational strategies.

    12. Ensure monitoring of performance against approved project(s) LFA/RBM, andsuggest/recommend changes to Regional Manager for timely decision making;

    13. Ensure participatory evaluation for program/projects impact assessment at community

    level and document for future planning;14. Identify new potential partners, networks, research in new and current working areas for

    the organizational interventions with the consultation of district partners;15. Submit quarterly/semi-annual/quarterly Review and planning meeting of Project(s) and

    prepare annual/semi-annual/quarterly/monthly work-plan against LFA and ensuremonitoring against set indicators;

    16. Submit monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual reports as per agreed reporting formats toRegional Manager and keep updated record;

    17. maintain regular communication with the Regional Manager, SAP-PK Management,Staff and Partners for better program(s)/project(s) management and implementation;

    18. Ensure gender mainstreaming, and gender dis-aggregated data in all project andprogram planning cycle;

    19. Accept any other assignment given by the supervisor.

    JOB SPECIFICATION:

    Qualification: B.Sc. Civil Engineering or DAE (Civil Engineer)

    Experience: Minimum 5 year experience for B.Sc. and 8 Years experience for DAE.

    POSITION: PROGRAM OFFICER

    Major Roles and responsibilities:

    The program officer will be responsible for:1. Adherence to SAP-PKs vision, mission, values and policies and procedures at all the

    times2. Provide support in program planning and execution of (CADP) program as per needs.3. Plan and implement activities as per annual/quarterly/Monthly basis in program area.4. Prepare annual/quarterly/Monthly reports and submit to the supervisor5. Monitor activities and suggest areas of improvement at field level as well as in office6. Participate in quarterly and annual reviews at regional level and give input for smooth

    functioning of program7. Any other task assigned by supervisor.

    Qualification: Graduation in social sciences

    Experience: Minimum 3 year experience

    POSITION: PROGRAM OFFICER (TRAINING)

    Location: Regional Office Gwadar

    Major Roles and responsibilities:

    The Training officer will be responsible for:

    facilitate in developing and managing Capacity building activity plans of Health andEducation component of CADP project with mutual consultation of partner organizations;

    facilitate to implement the CB program (Health & Education) at field level according tothe work plan;

    facilitate in building regular contacts with partner organizations in assigned area; be responsible to gather resource material around thematic areas; facilitate to conduct training programs and ensure all sort of logistics; be responsible to implement weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work plans; Facilitate project and national coordinators to develop training modules/manuals; Accept any other assignment given by the supervisor.

    Qualification: Graduation in social sciences

    Major ro les and responsibilit ies1. Measuring, managing and monitoring ongoing livelihood enhancement and protection

    activities in SAP-PK's focus union councils2. As part of a dynamic team, expand livelihood investment schemes for community

    members within the targeted households, determined by the Poverty Score Card (PSC)analyses

    3. Provide strategic insights by analyzing livelihood investment plans (LIP) filled at thehousehold level by proxy survey means

    4. Document and report LEP related activities to SAP-PK's senior management5. Share knowledge with rural poor people to boost their incomes through proven, verifiable

    methods and techniques by assembling them into common interest groups (CIG) forincome creating, cash grants and or micro-enterprise small business ventures

    6. Have good knowledge of existing livelihood investment potential (scenario) in SAP-PK'sworking union councils

    7. Interpret PSC data and fill LIP data to create sustainable individual livelihoodenhancement and protection models

    8. Interface with concerned government line agencies (GLA) to facilitate community CIGmembers at Tier 1, 2 and 3 under CO, VO and LSO and building sustainable tradingcooperatives

    9. Interplay with CIGs10. Strong managerial, analytical and communication skills11. Lead the exchange and promotion of relevant CIG members trainings, by transferring

    knowledge to rural community people12. Any other task assigned by supervisor.

    Qualification: Master in Sociology / Development Agriculture / Development EconomicsExperience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
