Description The Sat3Play Broadband Terminal is a state-of-the-art, high- performance equipment package designed to provide high- speed satellite internet access for the consumer, small office and home office markets. Because it adds true Broadband experience to low cost internet access, Sat3Play allows ISPs or other IP based service providers to address their market with a truly viable business model. The Sat3Play Broadband terminal is capable of supporting a full range of IP services, such as VoIP, multicasting, and intranet services. For a true Broadband experience, the Sat3Play terminal implements the most efficient technologies, such as DVB-S2 modulation in the forward link, rain fade countermeasures* in the return link, and IP traffic enhancement software such as TCP acceleration, pre-fetching and encryption. Contrary to other interactive satellite systems, Sat3Play terminals are available with a unique Point & Play® ** installation capability that allows the end-user to autonomously install the full terminal without any specific qualification or expensive tool. Point & Play therefore avoids the need for costly installer services, reduces field maintenance costs and improves end-user satisfaction. Point & Play is an innovative self-installation system consisting of a small antenna pointing tool (shipped with the terminal), combined with advanced software embedded in the indoor modem. It allows the installer to easily position the antenna correctly by providing satellite identification and feedback on both signal quality and lock. The Sat3Play terminal and the Point & Play system do not require any software to be installed on the end-users’ computer. The indoor satellite modem is completely plug and play and simpler to install than an ADSL or cable modem. Thanks to a unique design of both the compact indoor terminal and the lightweight, low power outdoor equipment, the cost of the terminal is kept below today’s most competitive systems available on the market. The standard Sat3Play terminal consists of • A small size, high quality, easy to install antenna • An interactive LNB (ilNB) combining a low noise block down converter and a 500mW transmitter • An IP modem with Ethernet connection. • An antenna pointing tool used by Point & Play Key Features • Low cost • Easy and fast ‘Point & Play’ installation • DVB-S/S2 compliant • True MF-TDMA return link • High speed connection with embedded acceleration • Over-the-air software upgradeability • Over-the-air monitoring and diagnostics Main advantages • Low initial investment per user, thanks to very low terminal cost and unique Point & Play installation capability • Low cost internet access services enabled by bandwidth efficient technologies such as DVB-S2. • High customer satisfaction ensured by true broadband experience and wide range of value-added IP services. • Description

The Sat3Play Broadband Terminal is a state-of-the-art, high-performance equipment package designed to provide high-speed satellite internet access for the consumer, small o ce and home o ce markets.

For a true Broadband experience, the Sat3Play terminal implements the most e cient technologies, such as DVB-S2 modulation in the forward link, rain fade countermeasures* in the return link, and IP tra c enhancement software such as TCP acceleration, pre-fetching and encryption.

Contrary to other interactive satellite systems, Sat3Play terminals are available with a unique Point & Play ** installation capability that allows the end-user to autonomously install the full terminal without any speci c quali cation or expensive tool. Point & Play therefore avoids the need for costly installer services, reduces eld maintenance costs and improves end-user satisfaction. Point & Play is an innovative self-installation system consisting of a small antenna pointing tool (shipped with the terminal), combined with advanced software embedded in the indoor modem. It allows the installer to easily position the antenna correctly by providing satellite identi cation and feedback on both signal quality and lock.

The Sat3Play terminal and the Point & Play system do not require any software to be installed on the end-users computer. The indoor satellite modem is completely plug and play and simpler to install than an ADSL or cable modem.

Thanks to a unique design of both the compact indoor terminal and the lightweight, low power outdoor equipment, the cost of the terminal is kept below todays most competitive systems available on the market.

The standard Sat3Play terminal consists of

A small size, high quality, easy to install antenna An interactive LNB (ilNB) combining a low noise block

down converter and a 500mW transmitter An IP modem with Ethernet connection. An antenna pointing tool used by Point & Play

    Key Features

Low cost Easy and fast Point & Play installation DVB-S/S2 compliant True MF-TDMA return link High speed connection with embedded acceleration Over-the-air software upgradeability Over-the-air monitoring and diagnostics

    Main advantages

Low initial investment per user, thanks to very low terminal cost and unique Point & Play installation capability

Low cost internet access services enabled by bandwidth e cient technologies such as DVB-S2.

High customer satisfaction ensured by true broadband experience and wide range of value-added IP services.
