Dubai World Cup Incentives

1. Travela. The Dubai Racing Club will provide air tickets to Dubai for the connections of overseas horses selected to participate in the Dubai World Cup, Dubai Turf, Dubai Sheema Classic, Dubai Golden Shaheen, UAE Derby, Godolphin Mile, Dubai Gold Cup, Al Quoz Sprint and Dubai Kahayla Classic.

Return business class tickets on a carrier designated by the Dubai Racing Club will be sent to the following connections:i. Registered owner, up to 2 ticketsii. Trainer, up to 2 ticketsiii. Jockey, one ticket

b. Only the above connections are eligible for travel concessions and the following restrictions apply:i. In the event an owner has an interest in more than one runner, a maximum of two concessions will be granted - one for the connection

and one for his/her spouse/partner. No additional concessions will be reallocated.ii. In the event any connection fulfils more than one role (i.e. owner/trainer), a maximum of two concessions will be granted - one for the

connection and one for his/her spouse/partner. No additional concessions will be reallocated.iii. Owners, trainers or jockeys currently residing in the UAE are not eligible for travel subsidies.iv. In the event that trainers or jockeys have more than one horse participating at the DWC meeting, only one concession will be granted.

No additional concessions will be reallocated.v. In the event a syndicate or group of owners has more than one horse participating at the DWC meeting, a nominated owner per horse

will recieve a maximum of two concessions - one for the owner and one for his/her spouse/partner.

Please note concessions are not transferable.

Connections wishing to stay at hotels other than the Official Hotel will have to cover the cost and associated expenses.

2. Hotel Accomodationa. Hotel accomodation, room only basis, will be provided at the Official Hotel. One room for a maximum of two persons will be provided to each of the following connections:

i. Registered owner, 5 nightsii. Trainer, 5 nightsiii. Jockey, 4 nightsiv. Owner, trainers or jockeys residing in the UAE are not eligible for the hotel accomodation subsidies.

b. Only the above accomodation concessions will be granted and the following restrictions apply:

i. Owners, trainers and jockeys wishing to be accommodated for a longer period than the number of nights listed above will cover the cost of any additional nights and associated expenses themselves.

3. Transport Servicea. Transport between the following locations will be arranged by the Dubai Racing Club for owners, trainers and jockeys:

i. The Dubai International Airport/ and the Official Hotelii. Meydan Racecourse for morning track work and the Dubai World Cup race meetingiii. The venues for official funtions

ASSISTANT TRAINERS, HEAD LADS, EXERCISE RIDERS AND GROOMS

1. Travela. Trainers/Staff will not be permitted to accompany horses on the flights

2. Accommodationa. Suitable modern accommodation will be provided either within the DRC Quarantine Stables, which have a limited number of fully furnished rooms plus dining facilities or at a nearby hotel. Priority for accommodation at the DRC Quarantine Stables will be given to grooms arriving early and then to non-English speaking persons.b. Breakfast will be provided for all staff at the DRC Quarantine Stables and dinner will be provided for residents only.c. Staff accompanying horses already in Dubai for the 2020 Dubai World Cup Carnival and subsequently invited to run at the Dubai World Cup meeting will remain in the accommodation supplied to them for the duration of the Dubai World Cup Carnival.

3. Transporta. A shuttle bus service will be provided to transport staff from the hotel to Meydan Racecourse.

Payment & DeclarationPayment of declartion/start fees must be made by 10.00am (Dubai time) on Monday, March 16, 2020 by telegraphic transfer, to the Emirates Racing Authority bank account.

Entries/Declarations to run must be made by 9.00am (Dubai time), Monday, March 23, 2020.

Nomination Procedure


All shipping arrangements will be co-ordinated through Janah Management Co Ltd or by their appointed shipping agents.

For the horses invited to run on Dubai World Cup night, the Dubai Racing Club (DRC) will pay or provide for:

• The following expenses for overseas horses, for the duration of their stay in Dubai, prior to and including the running of all races on the Dubai World Cup programme:

a) Feed, fodder, bedding, water and basic horse care products b) Shoeing (non-therapeutic)• Please note that horses travelling from GCC countries will receive a travel allowance based on the current commercial rate as

determined by the Dubai World Cup Committee. • All horses will share a pallet, where possible, providing each horse with a stall and a half.• When tack and equipment cannot be accomodated on the pallet, all additional goods must fit into an LD3 container.

Any change from the transport arrangement suggested by the DRC which incurs additional cost will be at the owner’s expense. The shipping arrangements of all horses will be organised by the DRC shipping agents.

The DRC and its transport agents will not be liable for any death of or injury to any invited horses during transportation to and from the United Arab Emirates or while in the United Arab Emirates.

Horses from the same region will, as far as possible, travel on the same flights.

The DRC will arrange and cover the normal costs of return transport by road from the home stable to departure airport, and return air transportation to country of origin based on existing cargo routes. However, any costs relating to a period spent in quarantine on return to their home country will be at the owner’s expense.

The DRC will not be responsible for horse insurance.

Connections should have their own insurance arrangements.

Veterinary Inspection of Horses:

1. Every horse invited to compete in the Dubai World Cup meeting will be subject to a Veterinary inspection performed by the Emirates Racing Authority Veterinary Officer. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that a horse does not have any abnormalities which could adversely affect its health, its performance or its chances of competing in its race at this meeting.

2. This compulsory inspection will be performed between two (2) days and five (5) days, prior to Dubai World Cup race day, or at any other time determined by the ERA and the Dubai Racing Club.

3. The inspection will require the horse to be identified via its passport and to be trotted-up in hand on a firm, flat non-slippery surface to assess its action and to have its locomotory structures palpated for abnormalities.

4. If a relevant abnormality is detected, the ERA Veterinary Officer will monitor the condition of the horse in consultation with an ERA appointed panel of Veterinary Surgeons.

5. Trainers are invited to present horses which may have some gait idiosyncrasies to the Veterinary Officer earlier than the suggested dates to overcome any misunderstanding on suitability to race issues.

Medication Lists:

1. Trainer must submit a horse’s medication official form.

2. This list must include all medications administered to the horse from March 1st, 2020 onward.
