Editorial

Many successes have been achieved, and others will be done, God willing, we thank God for what we have achieved, and we plan to further achievements in the New Year. We were proactive in planning studied strategies, and a clear methodology, being armed with a long history in customer service along with the big entity named « Alkhor-ayef Group» , and with great technical and human potentials helping build Saudi Parts Center Co., the company that was able to exist strongly in a market recognizing nothing except the lowest prices.

It proved that any dealer can achieve good interest in the long-term. The technical potentials of the team work and the company’s credibili-ty-based way of dealing and the respect paid to clients along with achiev-ing their interests had the key role in reaching this conviction to the customer. The time of the company’s launch to work in the Saudi market, the Kingdom, then, was living in a large agricultural boom enhancing its growth the directions took by the state in that period to support farmers and develop agriculture. Such deed formed a great oppor-tunity for the company growth especially that the interest, in the beginning, was to provide spare parts for the agricultural sector and it had not all these braches existing nowadays. Now that the market data changed and the agricultural sector declined, the company is up to new avenues for growth in other areas, and it builds new strategies for growth through the provision of industrial spare parts. Moreover, it enters the field of heavy transport trucks, not overlooking the agricultural sector as well, to serve a wider spec-trum of customers aspiring to achieve more, and who have with the company a historical relationship lasting for many years.

The leadership of the company represented in the board of directors and the execu-tive management realized the need to re-formulate the company’s strategy to keep up with the market demands and the economic activity taking place in the Kingdom and to build on the assets of the company’s experience and comparative advantages. All of this resulted in the identification of three key areas of focus and development, the first represented in the continuing and developing the distribution of cadres and regula-tions with the restructuring of the products mix and the geographical presence. Second, building on our outstanding status in the Turbo market through the Turbo tech and open-ing branches in key areas such as Al Sharqya, Algharbya and Al Janoubya later on. Third, developing the brand mark (SPI) owned by the company through the integrated development program containing all the basic elements starting from the selection of suppliers and technical tests, through the security system development enhance the confidence of the client in the product, to the appearance and packaging, and then to the pricing, to get through SPI to the leadership locally and regionally, taking the best solution for customers to alternative parts of high quality and reasonable prices.

To ensure implementation of the strategy, the work program included cre-ation of the necessary administrative and structural changes and provision of fi-nancial support, and strengthening the team work of new experiences, and de-veloping the current staff, and giving leadership outstanding opportunity to con-tribute to new roles, and the involvement of all the workers in the aspects of implementation of this plan to be active members to achieve and believe in it. . This is a simple overview and a thumbnail image reflecting the company’s plans and its ambitious team in achieving leadership and serving its customers and the company’s eagerness to become a strategic partner in the success of its clients. All of these are aspects of a system through which customer satisfaction could be obtained through the services and products provided by Saudi Parts Center Co. that will continue to be developed and promoted.

Alkhorayef Printing Solutions participated in the « Saudi Print-ing & Packaging Exhibition 2011», which is the ideal platform for communication between the lead-ers of the industry who are the decision-makers, industrialists, developers and other specialists. The participation of the group was special and distinctive, carrying a

message saying that: «digital printing and offset are complementing to bet-ter comprehensive solutions».

Many of the staff of the inter-national companies importing for Alkhorayef as exhibitors in the com-pany platform, as representatives of companies: «Pops - Mikanoteknyka - Petrato - Hohenr - latex - Aebagza - County Tech - Pedelaat», and through

these agencies, the Group support the market with many products.

The company has offered through its wing several products includ-ing three digital printing machines of Xerox company, heating Solovan coating and application of Otoppond, shredders and tracking machines of Mugana Company, in addition to binding machines of latex company.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the eastern region honored Alkhorayef Group represented in Sheikh Saad Alkhorayef during His sponsor-ship of a graduation ceremony of the first and second batches of the trainees of the Institute in Dammam. This was done in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Eng. Ali Al-Naimi, the Governor of General Organization for Technical and professional Training; Dr. Ali Ghafis, the President of Saudi Aramco, Khalid Al-Faleh, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum of the companies; Abdurrahman Al-Karim and the senior officials of the region.

Alkhorayef Petroleum Celebrates the First Anniversary of Installing the First Pump in IraqAlkhorayef Petroleum celebrated the first anniversary of

installing the first pump company in Rumaila oil field, south of Iraq, which is one of the largest oil fields in the world, as it contributed to produce large quantities of Iraqi oil. The company had won in 2010 the tender of electric pumps submersible to the field after the qualification and evaluation procedures, to become one of the approved suppliers of electric submersible pumps to British Petroleum, after receiving a high score on the assessment made by the Delegation of British Petroleum, who visited Alkhorayef Petroleum in Dammam.

Under the contract, Alkhorayef Petroleum worked on the design of full electrical submersible pumps, with its two parts the floating and the immersing one, and the manufacture, supply, installation, operation and maintenance in the field of North and South Rumaila for about 182 wells.

The company received an unlimited number of management headed by Mr. David Henderson, the chairman of the company and the hard work of all its employees from all departments (sales, operating, manufacturing, engineering, quality), where the spirit of the one team leaded. The director of Alkhorayef Petroleum company in Iraq, Iyad Laweesa asserted that after months of work and due to the company’s distinguished performance by achieving an increase rate of required production, the company gained much appreciation by the operating company reflected in an increase in the quota of Alkhorayef Petroleum from wells on the number in the contract. Free Medical Campaign in Alkhorayef

BUPA for Cooperative Medical Insurance represented by the company «The Lounge» organized free medical campaign at Alkhorayef to conduct free medical examinations to the employees of the group.

The event attracted a large group of staff who were keen to detect the level of diabetes in the blood, and the rate of blood pressure, and the extent of healthy vision, fitness and the fat percentage in the body.

The organization of these events came in the framework of the group interest to hold campaigns and useful programs, in order to save employees time and effort to conduct medical tests in the rapid whereabouts during work.

The Marine Sector Organizes Free Campaign Maintenance in Yanbu

Systems of the marine sector of Alkhorayef Commercial organized free maintenance in fishermen rife, Royal Commission rife in Yanbu. Eng. Mohamed Nasser, the after-sales services director of the maritime sector, supervised the campaign, which witnessed a attendance of fishermen to change the oil «lime Box» and «Albawage» “Bmkaún” concerning Yamaha.

Al-Shahri Urges to Pay Attention to the Issues of those with Special Needs

Human Resources General Directorate of Alkhorayef Group announced recently the names of staff idealists in 2011. This was in the context of support and motivation of the group staff, in recognition of their efforts and their continuous keenness to develop work and large contribution to achieve the expected results according to group plans and strategic objectives.

The course held at Al-Nakhil beach in Jubail Industrial city and it lasted for five days. Two days were dedicated to give theoretical lessons to trainees followed by two days during which trainees applied what they learned in theoretical lessons. The course ended in the fifth day with a test and individual race.

45 trainees participated in the race where the best 15 rivals, who made the best time in the individual race monitored by three of Saudi Maritime Sports Federation coaches and referees, have been chosen. First five winners got the course’s awards delivered by Nasser Al-Nasser Secretary General of Saudi Maritime Sports Federation and Ali Al-Qarton president of Saudi Club for Diving and Maritime Sports in Jubail. At the end of the course, Al-Nasser expressed his thanks and appreciation those were in charge of the course and recognized their considerable efforts.

Alkhorayef Academy ended the training program for 2001 with great success; it saw the participation of many of the group staff in different places of Kingdom to have the necessary training to fit work requirements.

Courses had a great interaction by the trainees who benefited what was givenfrom academic and practical experiences;delivered by expert and professional trainers during this special programdeveloped by Alkhorayef Academy and extended for one year.This is in light of group’s strategic policy to promote the level of employees; described as the cornerstone of achieving the main objectives, executing

the group’s policies and human investment to achieve the aspirations of the administration for this distinctive staff.

Training courses covered many topics the most important are: developing sales men skills, principles of marketing, time management, developing supervisory skills, excellence in customer service, one teamwork spirit and the concept of quality and effective communication. Other training courses related to the nature of administrations’ work in the financial and behavioral aspects were organized. In addition to the other training courses organized directly by Group’s companies. Total training hours

during the year reached 8500 training hour, total number of training seats reached 650 training seats.

It is mentioned that the training program for 2011 is the first training program implemented by Alkhorayef Academy and has seen a great success. The academy continues providing training programs to support the human resources of Alkhorayef group.

The academy seeks to confirm the key skills adopted by Alkhorayef group for their employees to be able to perform works assigned to them according to values adopted by the Group and through coordination with training institutes and specialized professionals.

Printing

Since Mr. Johan Guttenberg has invented modern printing in 1456, it is in continuous development in operating and finding practical solutions for problems appear during printing. One of the most common problems is (lags in drying time).

When ink gets dry slowly on the printings, this leads to color removal off the printed surface during handling in the rest of finishing stages. The major cause of this problem is relationship between ink and water, as the incoherence of water emulsion and ink during printing leads to this problem. Reasons are attributed to many factors including; when hydration water acidity is increases than the permitted ratio, this contributes to increasing the problem and non-drying the ink on paper and reverse emulsification of ink causes this problem. Low temperature of the printing hall more than the required rate and the increase of ink layer printed on the paper increase the occurrence of the problem.

How can you make himfeel that he is the customer number 1 at the company, how can you gain his confidence from the first deal between both sides and how can you give him advice meanwhile offering him service or selling him a brand.• Company: How can we keep it as a firm with a strong entity through which it can occupy the leading positions and how to achieve maximum profitabilitywith the most credibility and transparency, parallel to active and constructive contribution in society?• Goods orprovided service: How do you choose, support and provide it to customerin an excellent manner, how to ensure its continuity and reputation in the market and how to provide aftersales services to themprofessionally.• Employee: (You and me), our rights and duties towards the firm we are working in.As for the rights of employee, that we always calling for before starting giving, I think that
