Just as there are many causes of

workplace stress, there are also

numerous strategies to reduce or

prevent it.

If you are like most people…

…you spend one-third of your

adult life at work.

You spend large portions of your workday just

sitting behind a desk.

Comfortable.

Effortless.

Risk-free.

But is it really without any risk?

Research says that…

…time spent sitting may be associated with...

…snacking on junk food...

…and drinking too much

caffeine.

Sitting for more than 6 hours a day increases

the risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease.

Inactivity can reduce the function of your

digestive, circulatory and lymphatic systems.

It also increases the risk of back pain.

Too much sitting is a health hazard!

Prolonged sitting places your health

at risk…

…to the same extent as smoking

and high-blood pressure!

So how can you reduce the health

risks you face in the workplace?

Here are 12 practical

steps you can follow!

1. Always eat a

healthful breakfast.

2. Be organized with

your workplace lunch.

3. Drink plenty of water.

4. Munch on fruits

between meals.

5. Find an exercise

you enjoy.

6. Include a friend or work

colleague in your program.

7. Take short bouts of

exercise throughout

the day.

8. Plan your exercise

sessions in advance.

9. Take regular holidays.

10. Take a mini-break.

11. Get enough sleep.

12. Find what relaxes you.
