SOCIETY PROFILE
Vision – Better health through behavior change .
Mission – SBM is a multidisciplinary organization of clinicians, educators, and scientists dedicated to promoting the study of the interactions of behavior with biology and the environment, and then applying that knowledge to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, communities, and populations .
Our Members – The Society of Behavioral Medicine’s (SBM) more than 2,300 members—including psychologists, physicians, researchers, and public health and industry experts — are leading efforts to identify behavioral, community, and policy changes with the ultimate goal to improve the public’s health .
SBM members and conference attendees play a pivotal role in developing a full understanding of the factors that influence health; this understanding leads to effective and lasting disease prevention efforts . Our members are responsible for developing and administering new measurement models, intervention programs, and dissemination projects . Our community makes use of variety of innovative and novel research practices that include advances in digital health, behavioral design, and information technology .

About The 39Th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions
PURPOSESBM’s Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions provide an excellent opportunity for attendees of all experience levels to participate in the highest caliber of professional programming devoted to research and practice in the field of behavioral medicine .
SCIENTIFIC SESSIONSThis year’s Scientific Sessions will incorporate courses, workshops, midday meetings, panel discussion, paper sessions, keynote addresses, master lectures, poster sessions, seminars, and symposia .
The theme of the 39th Annual Meeting is “Extending Our Reach .” This theme will be showcased throughout the Scientific Sessions .
The meeting will focus on the following cross-cutting subthemes:
• Translation of behavioral medicine research into policy and practice .• Addressing health disparities .• Demonstrating how digital tools can positively influence health outcomes .• Obesity across the lifespan .• Prevention and treatment in clinical care .• Social context and health behaviors .• Expanding role of digital health products for impacting public health .• Public-Private partnerships for rapid design and deployment of health (intervention) programs .• Applying behavioral science to consumer health products and services .
TARGET AUDIENCESBM’s Annual Meeting represents the largest annual scientific conference—with over 2,000 attendees—devoted exclusively to behavioral medicine . The Annual Meeting offers a multidisciplinary forum for psychologists, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, health education specialists, registered dietitians, and other professionals with a range of expertise in health promotion, disease prevention, risk factor identification and modification, disease progression, adjustment and adaptation to physical disorders, rehabilitation, and diffusion and dissemination .

Industry Expert Theater sessions offer an opportunity for SBM-selected industry experts to present live, non-accredited sessions highlighting product-related research and development efforts and challenges .
Industry Theater Cost:
One night = $1,000Two nights = $1,500Three nights = $1,750
Included:
• Basic theater style set up for a maximum of 150 attendees in the Annual Meeting poster hall . The poster hall event hosts approximately 300 posters each night and draws nearly all conference attendees . If requested, room set includes basic audio visual equipment .
• Signage for placement outside the Industry Expert Theater event; signage can include industry logos as provided and by accepted SBM .
• Half-page advertisement in the printed Final Program Pocket Guide and promotion on the Annual Meeting website .• Broadcast email invitation to SBM Annual Meeting & Scientific Session registrants, immediately after close of early-

Industry Matchmaking Opportunities
SBM is offering the opportunity for company representatives and SBM abstract presenters at the Annual Meeting to meet one-on-one in private meeting rooms during which the abstract authors will give a brief 15-minute presentation of their work .
The Industry Matchmaking Program is designed to provide companies with an opportunity to discuss potential new collaborative research agreements, learn about interesting studies, and/or recruit for employment opportunities with Annual Meeting abstract authors .
Companies interested in participating in this program must complete the enclosed application .

Program Advertising Opportunities
The Final Program Pocket Guide is a comprehensive guide to the Annual Meeting, including a complete schedule of Annual Meeting educational events . It will be distributed to all Annual Meeting attendees onsite . The Final Program Pocket Guide will also be posted on the SBM website . Advertising in the program will expose your organization to over 2,000 Annual Meeting attendees and thousands of SBM website visitors.
Applications received before Friday, December 29, 2017, will be placed on the online preliminary program with a direct link to the supporting company’s website and subsequently in the Final Program Pocket Guide . The deadline to submit an application for advertising in the Final Program Pocket Guide is Friday, February 16, 2018 .
