    Observations and suggestion

During my stay, I observed that the organization is actively working and deeply involved in

the uplift of the poor, needy and rural section of the society. I feel that the organization

strongly believe that by the welfare of the people of such section will be helpful in bright

future of India. This organization is deeply involved to educate poor children who cant afford

a day meal. This organization tries to help such children and thus reduce to possibility that

they will fall into wrong hands and spoil their future.

During that period I observed few things that need improvement for the better development

of the organization and the students who are coming for various courses. The First thing I

notices is that although the organization is having a computer lab but the computer and

equipment are quite aged and are of older technology. So I suggested them to have proper

equipment and computer to educate the students in a better and efficient way.

Secondly then organization is primarily dependent on the government bodies for the funds

for different programmes. Although it is a very good opportunity for the organization to do

various project programme for the government but over-dependence on the government will

somewhere hampers the growth of the organization. So I suggested them either to

collaborate with other similar organization working in the same field. Hence in this manner

both the organization will be able to combine their resources and give a better help to people

and the society as a whole. Also by coordinating with each other both, the organizations can

help each other and learn various things which will be helpful for both of them.

The other way I suggested them is to involve students from different colleges in their

activities. As Rohtak is educational city which have MD University and various Medical and

engineering colleges in and around it. So, the organization can take help from the students

from these institutions for various activities starting from fund raising to the deployment of

the programmes. In this way organization will have new minds to work on the programme

which will help to develop and execute the programme in more innovative and effective way.

Also this will increase the awareness about weaker section of the society among the

students of these institutions. Also when these students interact with the children from

weaker section, it will motivate the students of weaker sections to study hard. Even I have

seen in my case, when I was there on the field visit various students come to me and ask me

    different questions related to education.

Moreover there are few big industries in Rohtak and many industries in adjoining districts like

Gurgaon. These industries many a time are involved in different CSR activities so I

suggested them to work with these industries and achieve their common objective.

    Learning

This field experience was the first time I ever went to an NGO. We always heard that these

organizations do all those things to be in the lime-light, but my visit in this organization was

an eye opener for me. The people in this organization were so satisfied with what they are

doing that I really felt amazed. These people were not working there for a fat salary or other

personal benefit, but they work there because they like it. While talking with few of the

members I got to know that they work there because they get personal satisfaction from it.

They say that they are also from rural background and they know the ground realities of rural

India. They had faced all the difficulties to come up to this level, so they say that they want to

give proper guidance and training to these children. So that one day these students will

    achieve something in their life.

Also it was first time that I was teaching in a class. It was really a great experience and I got

to know how difficult it is to teach students, even if the batch is as small as 20 students. You

never know what a student may ask or so. But in the end I was really satisfied that I shared

some of my knowledge. It was also a learning experience for me; I also learned many things

while teaching these students. I got to interact with these students got to know what kind of

    problems and difficulties they faced.

On the other hand there are other ground-realities that I got to know. Poor cannot afford

medical facilities and lack of sanitation makes them even more prone to diseases. This

serves as a vicious circle and lack of education and resources serves a serious deterrent to

their fundamental right of minimum standard of living. My interaction with them led us to

know difficulties they face in Villages and slums. And I also learned how organization

conducts different programs to educate the people about various aspects of hygiene and tell

them how different diseases spread and how we can prevent them. It would also work as an

agency to collaborate with government on drives such as polio eradication, drive against

malnutrition and other initiatives organized by Government.
