SBX IP Software and Firmware Versions The following KSU software must be installed: 3.5As or greater The VOIB card installed in the SBX IP system must be: GS88HB3Bd You can obtain the 3.5 and VOIB firmware on Vconnect in the Software Download section. CO Trunk and Trunk Group Setup You first need to determine what CO line numbers the SBX IP VOIB board is using. After starting the PC Admin program, select the Configuration (PGM101-103) item and double click. A configuration overview should appear:

Right mouse click on the VOIB entry and select CO Data View:

Here you can see that the 4 VOIB channels are assigned as CO lines 4-7.

Station Attribute Setup Station Attribute 1 (PGM 111) – Program the SIP User ID Table to Table 1. We will use this table to correspond with the SIP account (programmed later in SIP Attributes 2).

DID Line Type Setup CO Line List (PGM 140) – If the SIP carrier will be providing DID (direct inward dialing) trunks, program the VoIB trunks used for SIP integration as ISDN DID type. Our example shows CO 4-7 set as this type.

ISDN Line Attributes Setup CO Line ISDN Attributes (PGM 143) – Set the COLP and CLIP Table Idx fields to 0, set the Call Type to Subscriber, the DID Conv Type to 2 (for integration with Flexible DID Table, PGM 231), set the DID Remove Num to 7. These settings are for DID numbers provided by AccessLine that are 10 digits in length, and turn ISDN ENBLK Send to On.

COLP Table Setup COLP Table (PGM 201) – Enter the COLP digits (pilot DID number from AccessLine) in Index 0 (this will correspond with PGM 143 buttons 1 and 2). The COLP digits will be the same as the digits in the User ID field in SIP Attributes 2.

Flexible DID Table Setup Flexible DID Table (PGM 231) – Use the last three(3) digits of the DID number that AccessLine provides as the table numbers. Complete this for all stations that are to have DID service. For example, if 602-555-0100 is the main DID number, index 100 would be programmed to go to Station 100 (default ATT station) for each mode.

Networking CO Line Attribute Setup Networking CO Line Attribute (PGM 322) – Enter the VoIB trunks used for the SIP integration. Set the Networking CO Group to 0, the Networking CO Line Type to PSTN, Gatekeeper Usage to Off, VoIP mode to SIP, and program DTMF Mode to Inband DTMF.

VoIB/Gatekeeper Setup VoIB/Gatekeeper Setting (PGM 340) – Program the IP Address, Gateway Address, Subnet Mask, DNS address and Firewall address if you are using a one to one NAT through firewall/router for the VoIB card. Set the VoIB mode to SIP unless the system is networked with another system, if so, use the DUAL option. Program the DTMF Mode so it matches the same field in PGM 322. Set the default codec to G.729.

SIP Attribute 1 Setup SIP Attribute 1 – Program the Proxy Server Address (SBC IP Address form AccessLine), Proxy Server Port (SBC Port from AccessLine) Proxy Registration Timer should be 60, Use Outbound Proxy check box, and Domain (SBC Domain Name from AccessLine). Enable the remaining checkboxes (Remote Party ID, 181 message and SIP name service)

This is the SIP Trunk ID provided by Accessline followed by usbc.accessline.com Enter the SIP Trunk ID provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User Name field. Enter the Password provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User Password field Make sure that User ID Usage is enabled

Setting up Fax Trunk with Accessline Accessline will provide a separate fax number/line which will operate at G.711 for proper fax transmissions. Fax Station Programming(PGM 111) – Select the station number that is connected to the fax machine, 107 in our example. Enter a separate SIP User ID Table, 2 in our example.

SIP Attributes 2 – Select the index number you used in Station Attributes 1 (PGM 111)for the fax station, 107 in our example. Enter the User ID (phone [email protected]. This is the FAX SIP Trunk ID provided by Accessline followed by usbc.accessline.com. Enter the Fax SIP Trunk ID provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User Name field. Enter the Password provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User Password field Make sure that User ID Usage is enabled

The next step in fax configuration is to disable T.38 in the SBX IP system. Disconnect PCAdmin from the SBX IP system. Start a terminal emulation program such as HyperTerminal and connect to the SBX IP VOIB board. Use the VOIB IP address and port 16000 to make the connection.

From here enter t38fax off and enter and it echos back that the t38 fax set to off:
