scaD transportation anD parking
All students, staff and faculty who park or
use a vehicle on SCAD property must
register their vehicles and properly display
a current decal or temporary permit.
Student parking decals are free and are
validated for the academic year. All students,
faculty and staff must obtain a new permit
at the beginning of each fall quarter.
Students who live on campus are allowed
only one vehicle on university grounds at a
time. Students who live off campus as well
as faculty and staff may purchase a second
decal for a $35 fee. To obtain a permit,
students, faculty and staff must register
their vehicles through their MySCAD account.
Step by step instructions for this process
can be found online at www.scad.edu/park.
Faculty and staff permits are free and are
valid for the entire year. Any changes in
vehicle information must be reported to
transportation and parking services.
Changes are made free of charge.
The parking permit must be properly placed
on the bottom outside corner of the driver’s
rear windshield. Motorcycles should display
the permit on either front fork or on the left
side of the fairing. Motor scooters must
register through college security. Once
registered, a vehicle is permitted to park in
most SCAD lots, and the owner or driver
acknowledges his or her responsibility to
abide by all rules and regulations. The
holder of the permit is responsible for any
citations the vehicle receives, regardless of
who was operating the vehicle at the time.
Towing is enforced in SCAD parking lots as
indicated by posted signs. Any vehicle
parked in a towing-enforced lot without a
current decal, temporary permit or in
violation of handicapped or fire lane
designation is subject to ticketing and
towing without warning. All associated
towing fees must be paid in full before the
vehicle is released.
parking violations
In addition to the following penalties, the
Savannah College of Art and Design
reserves the right to tow vehicles for
violation of parking regulations without
warning and/or for unpaid parking citations.
Students and employees who have
outstanding parking fines will not be issued
a new parking decal. Further, a hold may be
placed on student accounts and/or records.
Employees may have the balance
subtracted from their paycheck.
Transportation and parking services may
issue tickets and fines to all violators of
SCAD parking regulations without warning.

parking in savannah
Because of the historic Savannah locations
of most SCAD buildings, parking is limited
on university property. SCAD students are
strongly encouraged to utilize the convenient
and extensive SCAD transportation system
rather than driving their personal vehicles.
Students who live in residence halls are
discouraged from bringing vehicles to the
university. All students living in the
residence halls are permitted to have only
one vehicle (i.e. motorcycle, car or truck)
registered at a time.
