ILS Initiative Project Outcomes for Ball State University

1. Increase number of active learning classrooms, minimum 1 classroom per academic building.

2. Increase number of faculty becoming competent in active learning pedagogy.

3. Sustain ILS Faculty Development Program by enrolling at least 1 faculty member from each college, per cohort.

4. Expose increasing number of students to active learning pedagogies.

5. Change culture of teaching to one of engaged, active learning instruction.

6. Change culture of classroom design to include learning space design consulting groups, specific to the classroom initiative.

7. Increase scholarly publications and presentations related to the ILS.
