Requirements: Scarecrow must be free-standing and constructed to withstand weather. Minimum height: 4 feet. Maximum height: 8 feet. Maximum width: 4 feet. Design/Decorations: Scarecrow must be in good taste, family-friendly, and not frightening. Scarecrow depicting controversial, social, religious, or political situations are not allowed. All decorations must be attached. No objects are allowed to be placed on ground around the Scarecrow. No handouts may be associated with a Scarecrow entry. Entry/Set-up: Scarecrow entry and set-up is Tuesday, August 18, 2020 between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Please bring your completed entry form (below) to the Flower Department in the Open Class Building to register. Please attach a sign (no larger than 11x17) with your Scarecrow’s name or title to your display. All entries must remain on display at the Fairgrounds until 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Only one entry per person is allowed. Restrictions: No items such as tiki torches, gas powered generators or any flammable objects are allowed to be any part of your Scarecrow entry. No rubber masks or store bought masks are allowed. Human Scarecrow or mechanical Scarecrow facilitated by a human are not allowed. Judging: Scarecrow judging is by popular vote. Ballots will be totaled on the morning of Sunday, August 23, 2020. Winners will be posted on our website, Facebook, and in the Kenosha County Fair Open Class Building early Sunday afternoon.
