Schlumberger Flex represents a significant part of your overall compensation. It offers valuable protection for you and your family in the event of sickness, accident or death. What’s more, it puts you in control. You choose the coverage that best meets your needs, and you can change your coverage as your needs change. This brochure provides a brief summary of the benefits coverage available How Schlumberger Flex works Each year, Schlumberger Canada provides you with flex dollars that you can use to purchase the benefits you need for the upcoming calendar year. Each option has a price tag, which is the cost of buying that coverage – the more comprehensive the coverage, the higher the price tag. If your health and financial security needs are more extensive, you will need to make payroll deductions to cover the difference. If your health and financial needs are less extensive, and if you have ex dollars remaining after selecting your options, you may choose to have them deposited in your Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) or Personal Spending Account (PSA). These flex dollars can be used for a broad variety of health- and personal wellness-related expenses. When you enroll, the enrollment website automatically calculates your flex dollars and price tags, as well as any payroll deductions, based on who you cover and what you choose. Your Business Travel Accident Coverage Schlumberger provides all employees with additional accident coverage when traveling on Company business. Your coverage is equal to 4.5 times your eligible compensation to a maximum of $1 million. Your Short-Term Disability Plan Short-term disability (STD) coverage provides you with income protection in the event of a short-term illness or injury; however, there are some differences in coverage, as noted in the table below. Your STD coverage is automatic and fully paid for under Schlumberger Flex.
