1. Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund – Open to high school seniors for the 2017-2018 school

year. Qualifications include: (1) US Citizen or permanent resident of US, (2) GPA of 3.0, (3) demonstrated

leadership abilities through participating in community service or other extracurricular activities, (4) high

school senior who will matriculate full—time at a US accredited four-year college or university and (5)

combined adjusted income of the parent(s) is less than or equal to $50,000.

March 31, 2018.

2. Janet Logan Daily Foundation - $10,000 scholarship available for one graduating high school senior from

New Jersey who enrolls full-time in an accredited university or college within the United States. Students

should be able to demonstrate that they have maturity and integrity within and beyond the classroom. To

4. Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund Scholarship – minimum of 8 scholarships to area high school seniors

accredited undergraduate school; or (b) up to $2,500 per year to attend an accredited community college

or vocational school; and (c) Mentoring support during and after the transition to post-high school

schooling.

1. Plan to graduate from a Metropolitan Philadelphia area high school at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year.

2. Plan to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution beginning in Fall 2018. 3. Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or above. 4. Demonstrate significant unmet financial need.

5. Gloucester County Internship Scholarship Program – Up to $10,000 in potential scholarship savings.

Simply apply to RCGC and fill out the FAFSA; priority is given to earlier applicants. Visit

6. The Mile Program – Geared toward providing mentorship and leadership capacity for people of color;

supporting minority individuals as they work to complete their educational and career goals. Initial

8. The Greater Woodbury Garden Club Scholarship – Are you a graduating senior who is thinking about

attending trade school, or majoring in agriculture/crop of plant science, botany, earth science,

be eligible for the Greater Woodbury Garden Club Scholarship! This scholarship opportunity awards up to

9. Aspiring Nurse Scholarship – High School Seniors interested in pursuing a career in nursing are welcome

high school graduating class of 2018. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate a track record

of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics, and a passion for the nursing profession

10. AAA South Jersey Driving School Scholarship – Are you a high school senior interested in expressing

your creative writing skills and, simultaneously, compete for a $2,500 scholarship toward a two or four-

year college? If so, you may be eligible for the AAA South Jersey Driving School Scholarship! To apply,

respond to the following question, using 500-1,000 words: You’ve seen news stories and commercials

about self-driving cars. Would you feel safe riding in a driverless car? If so, what makes you confident

11. Foster and Adoptive Family Services Scholarship – HS Seniors who have experienced a CP&P out-of-

home placement are eligible to apply. Eight scholarships and grant opportunities are available. To be

considered for an award, applicants must return all required documentation to Foster and Adoptive

12. The Kingdom of Lucerne Scholarship – This living history organization is looking to assist seniors who

will be attending college with an award of $500.00. The award is being given in memory of Joseph

Fulginiti, who was a leading force behind the formation of this scholarship. The requirements are as

follows:

13. Evelyn Cullins Book Scholarship – Sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, founded in 1920 based on the

ideals of scholarship, Service, sisterly love and finer womanhood. Applicants must be an African American

female who resides in Gloucester County and currently a senior in HS. Applicants must also be planning to

attend a two or four year college, technical or vocational school in the fall of 2018 or spring of 2019.

Scholarship is worth $500.00.

14. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarship Opportunities – available to HS senior, African American females

who attend HS in Gloucester County and are planning to attend an accredited four-year college or

university in the fall of 2018. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is a professional non-profit organization with over

100,000 members, whose ideals are scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. Award is in

scholarship is important to the applicant. Include college and career plans if known. Include

applicant name and name of scholarship.

g. Signed copy of parents’ federal tax form 1040 (pages 1 and 2 only) and W-2 forms for each

16. Scholarship Opportunities for Young Artists Workshop – Moore College is pleased to provide

scholarship opportunities for students interested in the arts. Founded in 1921, Young Artists Workshop

maintains a rich legacy of offering exceptional art and design educational experiences. Three (3) $150.00

17. Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Scholarship Award – award is for $20,000 per year and is

applied to tuition at any SCAD location, including online via SCAD eLearning. To be considered, students

must be recommended by a teacher, professor or counselor. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of

at least 3.0. Application is due February 1, 2018.

Student Requirements:

a. Minimum 1410 SAT combined math and critical reading score, or ACT composite score of at

least 30

b. GPA of 3.75

c. Stellar visual arts, performing arts, writing or riding capabilities

d. Honors and awards from competitions, or other recognitions

18. Congress-Bundestag Vocational Youth Exchange Program – this unique program allows HS seniors to

spend a year in Germany living with a host family, participating in a school or training program, and

getting hands-on work experience through an internship with a German company. Applications can be

Eligibility Requirements:

a. Between 18 and 19 years old by July 1 of departure year

19. ASSE International Student Exchange Program – Participating in an exchange program gives your

students more than just knowledge about another country and its language and culture. Time spent living

abroad teaches them about building friendships, taking responsibility for themselves, respecting

differences, and tolerating the beliefs of others. The Walter Danielson Scholarship covers 100% of the

program fee, one field trip in the host country, and a monthly allowance for the student. Final

20. Pointe Pest Control NJ ROFL Scholarship – Pointe Pest Control is offering a $500 scholarship to a

graduating senior planning to attend a post-secondary program. The goal: make them laugh! Submit a

short video (under 3 minutes), a story, a joke – ANYTHING! They will review all submissions and choose a

offered by different colleges and universities. No applications are required besides the school’s

application. This website is a list of monies available to you from individual colleges and universities and is

good resource to gauge the amount of money you’ll receive from the school of your choice.

22. South Jersey Federal Credit Union Scholarship – SJFCU is offering a $1,000 scholarship based on

academic achievement, SAT scores, references, activity involvement, and essays. Head to

*23. American Legion Auxiliary Scholarships: The following scholarships all require similar materials. 23a.

Claire Oliphant Memorial Scholarship, 23b. Nursing Scholarship/Past President’s Parley, 23c. Dorothy

Kellerman Scholarship and One Year Department Scholarship They are all sponsored by the American

Legion Auxiliary, Department of New Jersey. Each application packet is available in the Counseling Office

with a full list of requirements. Below are some basics. Good luck!

– Applicant must be:

- A child, grandchild, or Great-Grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during

the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion (Dates on Application)

- A resident of the state of New Jersey for two years immediately prior to applying for the

scholarship

- A member of the 2018 graduating class of a senior high school in NJ

- Must use the award the year it is issued

- Scholarships will be awarded on the following basis:

o Character, Americanism, Leadership, Scholarship/Academic ability, and Basis of need

- A full list of requirements is listed on the application

- Application deadline is 4/15/18

*24. American Legion Auxiliary Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship 2018 – 15

scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded for 2018. Three scholarships will be awarded

in each the five divisions of the American Legion Auxiliary. Read through the entire application to be sure

you meet all requirements, but here are a few important ones. The deadline for application submission is

March 1, 2018. There are a few questions you must answer in addition to the 1,000 word essay required

for application. Four letters of recommendation (1 from your principal or counselor; 1 from a

clergyman/clergywoman of your choice; and 2 from citizens in the community other than relatives).

Interested applicants should pick up a copy of the application packet from the counseling office.

*25. Gloucester County Bar Foundation/Annual Scholarship Awards 2018 - Four scholarships will be

awarded based on demonstrated scholastic ability, general character, demonstrated accomplishments,

and community service. Winners will receive a scholarship not to exceed $1,000 and will be invited along

with two guests to the Law Day Luncheon. Come to the Counseling Office to pick up an application,

eligibility requirements, and further instructions. All applications must be receive no later than April 18th,

2018.

26. Discover Student Loans College Covered Scholarship Program – Discover Student Loans is proud to

announce their 2018 scholarship sweepstakes. Entrants will be selected at random to receive up to

*27. Gloucester County Art League Scholarship (The Woody Platt Memorial Art Scholarship) – The

Gloucester County Art league is pleased to offer another $2,000 annual art scholarship to a Gloucester

County high school graduate! Students must be graduating in June 2018 and planning to attend college to

pursue a career in the fine arts (not including Dance or Theatre). Applications are available in the

Counseling Office. A short essay of your goals, a letter of reference from a member of the art community,

and a non-returnable sample of your artwork must be included. The deadline is Monday, April 16th, 2018.

28. NJUA Trade and Vocational School Scholarships – These scholarships are available to qualified students

selected by the NJUA Scholarship Review Committee who will be pursuing a trade or vocational degree at

an accredited school located in New Jersey. The award will total up to $1,500 per year! A complete list of

29. National Association of Water Companies Associations (NAWC) – NAWC is offering two $2,500

scholarships to high school students who will be attending a New Jersey college or university and is

interested in the water utility industry or any related field. You can find the application at

www.nawc.org/membership/chapters-and-related-groups/new-jersey.aspx. Application deadline: April

1st, 2018. Qualified applicants should be:

- US Citizen

- New Jersey Citizen for at least 5 years

- Pursuing a degree at a New Jersey college or university

- Maintaining a 3.0 GPA (85) or higher

- Be interested in a career in the water utility industry or similar

*30. NJPSA Student Leadership Scholarship: The New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association is

providing 25 student leadership scholarships worth $2,000 each. It is available to students who have

demonstrated leadership in school activities (co-curricular activities NOT including athletics). You will

need to submit a one page essay on the topic, “The Importance of Student Leadership in School

Activities,” and a resume. Submit to the Mrs. Dobleman in the main office for review by March 14th to

ensure we may submit our nomination by our deadline. Two letters of recommendation will be required

(one from the principal and one from an activities advisor) as well as the application (which can be found

in the counseling office). Only one student will be nominated from our school after review of applications

is complete.

31. 2018 Cooper Levenson Scholarship – This scholarship is for college-bound students who demonstrate

civic responsibility and academic achievement. $2,000 is available to you! Applications may found at:

48. The New Jersey Electronic Security Association – NJESA is awarding scholarships to sons and

daughters of active duty police and fire personnel. This scholarship award is a way for the NJESA to say

“thanks!” to our dedicated public safety community and to help pay for a students’ advanced education.

This scholarship is worth $1,500 for first prize and $1,000 for second prize! The first place winner of this

scholarship will then be put in the running for $7,500 and $2,500 at the national level. The application

Van Looy Scholarship – One $2,000 scholarship is being awarded to a deserving senior majoring in elementary education. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student candidate must meet the following criteria: (1) Aspire to be an elementary school teacher; (2) student must possess the qualities needed to work well with young children; (3) must have a GPA of at least an 80; (4) Enrolling in a two- or four-year college; (5) write a brief essay, stating why he/she wants to be an elementary teacher; (6) be available to sit for a brief interview by the trustees (10-15 minutes).
