It was wonderful to see all our students marching and continuing the ANZAC Spirit. If it wasn’t for the parents who brought the students to these events the students would not have these experiences. I would also like to thank especially Mrs Jones for attending and repre- senting the school and for Mrs Poli- meni for organising the flowers and the much needed blankets for the stu- dents to sit on. To the students, I would like to say thankyou, it was cold and we were all very uncomfort- able in that environment. But our stu- dents again were absolutely wonder- ful and their behaviour was excellent. (Photos are displayed on the back of this page). POLOCROSSE NEWS

ROYAL SYDNEY SHOW Congratulations to Kelvin Hillier and Breeanna Trembath who were selected to represent there club ( Jugiong and Tumut) at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, there were 12 youngsters from all across NSW all under the age of 12 that were chosen to exhibit their talent and skill at the game of Polocrosse at the Sydney Royal Show. There were 2 teams, the ‘Marsh Carneys’ and ‘Farmers

Barn’, each team getting a win but in the final the ‘Marsh Carney’ team came out on top. All the children had a

fantastic few days at the show. Congratulations also to Breeanna for winning best number 2. Well done kids.

NATIONAL POLOCROSSE CHAMPIONSHIPS AT WARWICK QLD

A very large contingent of players and horses converged on Warwick QLD last week for the Bi-Annual National Polocrosse championships. Of the 12 grades played, NSW were in 11 Grades, winning 8 out of 12. Players from Jugiong were part of the NSW Team. Todd Weston and Pat French were in the Senior Mixed Team which did not make the finals. Ben Manwaring was in the Winning Challenge Cup (2nd Men’s) side which won 30-16 and received Best No 3. Ricky Mitchell also played in this division with SA being beaten by NSW. Hayley Crommelin joined with Sandra Weston in the winning Women’s side defeating WA 20-15, with Sandra’s mare ‘Layla’, owned by Donna Weston, getting Best ASH. The Men’s Division also won against WA 26-23, with Will Weston earning the Champion Polocrosse Player of the Carnival. This was a big win as it had been years since

NSW had beaten WA in this division.
