It was an interactive session with parents giving suggestions and also getting

We believe parents are the main influence in children’s lives. Our goal is to build a relationship with
the child and with the family. So, we have gathered here to establish a connection between you dear
parents, your child and the Green Valley family and always strive to be proficient with each
newacademic session.

VISSION AND MISSION:
INTRODUCTION:
Now I would like to give you a brief introduction of our schools in Vadodara. We can proudly tell
that Shree Vallabhacharya trust runs various schools. We have Green Valley High School, which has
been pioneering the academic vision of the trust since the year 2007. Not only this, we also have
Green Valley Primary School at Mujmahuda. In addition, we also have Busy Bees Kinderland which
has been established since 15 years at Mujmahuda and we proudly announce that we have opened
a new branch at Padra.
DIRECTORS:
A plant grows and becomes a fruitful tree only because of its strong roots. Green Valley group of
schools have flourished only because of exceptional leadership and a strong foundation laid by our
directors Mr. Chetan Desai and Mrs. Ashini Desai. Along with them we have Joint Directors Ms.
Prakriti Desai and Ms. Shrishti Desai. They are passionate and determined towards making Green
Valley Group of schools to reach greater heights. The directors have been a guiding path to school’s
upliftment.
PRINCIPAL:
The courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the need of others is an art of
a Principal. Our Principal Mrs. Manisha Sinha has provided endless care, guidance, support and has
nurtured the school to expand its horizon.
CORE TEAM:
As you know, a school cannot function efficiently without a supporting back and front office staff.
The core team comprises of Mr.Soju George, Ms. Preeti Joshi, Mr. Brijesh Patel, Ms. Vandana Singh
and Ms. Dhara Patel.
TEACHING STAFF:
Let me now proudly introduce to our teaching staff for grades 6 to 10 headed by our Co-ordinator
Ms. Isha Thakkar.
For English we have Ms. Anamika, Ms. Elizabeth Bilwal and Ms. Janvi Mehta.
For Hindi we have Ms. Kalpana Shah and Ms. Alpa Pandya
For our optional language subjects we have Ms. Alpa Pandya for Sanskrit and Mr. Kalpesh Raval for
Gujarati.
Our science faculties are Mr. Prashant Dindorar, Mr. Yogesh Parmar, Ms. Geeta Negi, Ms. Smita and
Ms. Pooja.
Mathematics would be taken up by Mr. Prashant Dindorkar.
Social Science will be taken up by Ms. Isha Thakkar, Ms.Kusum Gupta and Ms. Megha C
Our Computer faculties are Ms. Janhvi Dave and Abhishek Aayre.
Mr. Kiran Padhiyar and Ms. JagrutiPrajapati would be taking Physical Education and Art would be

TOPPERS OF XII and X:
I would like to have everyone to glance over our toppers of grade 10 and 12 CBSE who have made
our school very proud and have set a great example for our upcoming batch.
JEE MAIN:
Our students have also appeared for competitive engineering exams like JEE Main and Advanced.
JEE Main exam is now conducted twice a year, one in June and one in January.
You are now looking at Vadodara city’s top 3 rankers of June 2018 exam who have passed out from
our school. And it gives me immense pleasure to tell you that MissulaMegha is our state’s girls
topper.In the January 2019 exam, Aryan Mehta secured 99.94 percentile along with 30 other Green
Vallians scoring above 99 percentile.
SOF
Our school plays host to various competitive exams organized by the Science Olympiad Foundation
to help the children reach their maximum potential and enhance their skills. These are the results of
last year’s exams.In National Science Olympiad (NSO) Roma Patel of grade 2, Trivikram Das of
grade 4 andVirenDodiya of grade 12 were the school toppers. Also, VirenDodiya qualified for the
level II exam.And dear parents, VirenDodiya has done it again, he has also achieved a 2nd rank at the
Zonal level for International English Olympiad (IEO).
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
You must have heard “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
The aim of education is to provide holistic development of a child. So along with academics, we also
engage students in extracurricular activities like art and craft, music, dance and various sports
activities to develop their psycho motor skills and cater to their individual intelligence.
KHEL MAHA KUMBH
We are proud to tell that in the academic year 2018-19 our school hosted KhelMahakumbhfor
various sports like Kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball, chess, shooting ball and yoga.Around 60-70
schools of the rural area participated in the same.
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS:
We were not only hosts but also the proud winners as our Girls Volleyball team secured 2nd place at
District Level [U-17] and qualified for the State Level.Apart from Khel Mahakumbh, our students

Schools are one of the main sources of inculcating values in a child. Humanity stands above all. Our
students visit many organizations that work for the betterment of the society, which inculcates
values like empathy, brotherhood, generosity and many more.
E- LEARNING:
An e-learning environment has become essential for schools around the world. With the support of
technology, teachers and students, an e-learning culture is developed and nurtured. All the
classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, which cater to e-learning.
HANDS ON EXPERIMENTS:
To gain more practical experience of the scientific knowledge gained at school, the students are
given hands on experiments like fun science experiments, visit to labs the surroundings to build a
connection between textual knowledge and real life application.
ASSESSMENT PATTERN:
Now we would like to orient you to the Assessment pattern for grade 6 – 8 and 9 & 10
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT 6 to 8
Firstly,I would be discussing about various exams conducted throughout the year for grade 6—8.
We have three Cycle Test in a year, which is conducted every Thursday (subject wise) which is of 20
marks each. Schedule for the same will be conveyed to you through circulars.
For example, if we start cycle test for Hindi this Thursday, then next Thursday it would be some
other subject and the next to next Thursday it will be some other subject. So this is how we will
conduct our cycle test till all the scholastic subjects are covered.
Then we have the Periodic Assessment I which is of 40 marks starting from ….
Half Yearly or Term end exam will be of 80 marks starting from ….
Periodic Assessment II which is again of 40 marks would be conducted in the second term starting
from ….
Finally, we will have our Annual Assessment of 80 marks starting from….

Report:
Investiture Ceremony is one of the most important ceremonies of the school
which reminds us of the trust and confidence we repose in our newly elected
Students’ Council.
The ceremony started by lighting of the lamp by invoking the blessings of the
Almighty.
It was followed by a synchronized parade of our former Student Council and
the newly elected Student Council.
The Head Boy, the Sports Captain and the prefects were the members of the
Students’ Council. They were conferred with badges and sashes by our
honorable directors Mrs. Ashini Desai , Ms Srishti Desai and Principal Mrs.
Manisha Sinha.
The Student Council took the pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their
abilities.
Our excellent team of coordinators was conferred with badges by our director
Mrs. Ashini Desai.
Our former Head Girl, Sunidhi Sharma gave an inspiring speech followed by
some enlightening words from Raghav Gupta – the newly elected Head Boy.
The ceremony was concluded with National Anthem.

Welcome
Good Morning to one and all present over here.
What is common between Mahatma Gandhi, Narendra Modi, Nelson Mandela,
Barack Obama? They are all ‘Leaders Par Excellence’. Leadership is a quality which
is nurtured and has it seeds sown in childhood itself. We at Green Valley High
School tap the quality of leadership in their early years and try to bring out the best
in each so that they too can be great leaders of tomorrow. It’s rightly said Leaders
are not born they are made. Investiture ceremony is one of the most important
ceremonies of the school which reminds us of the trust and confidence we repose in
our newly elected council.
It is my honour to welcome our Directors Mr. Chetan Desai and Mrs. Ashini Desai
and our joint directors Miss Srishti Desai and Miss Prakriti Desai, Principal Green
Valley High School, Mrs. Manisha Sinha, all educators and dear students to this

and has made valuable contributions to our school.

Yellow is his colour. Yellow is the colour of sunshine, hope and happiness.
Succeeding him we have Steve John, Senior House Prefect, Gladiolus House. Green is his colour. It’s a positive colour, giving us ability to love and nurture
ourselves and others unconditionally. Following him we have Arnav Joshi Senior House Prefect, Blue Bells House.
Blue is his colour. Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with
depth and stability.

Red in colour, it is the colour associated with power and determination.

Oath taking
As representatives of the school, each one of you will have many responsibilities and
expectations to uphold. Donning the mantle of responsibility, you will all pledge to
dispense your duties to the best of your abilities and abide by rules and regulations
of the school.

This was the student council spearheading, the pulse of the school but who will
propel the students to deliver. These drives who motivate the student’s
representation are our school coordinators.

I would like to call Mrs. Vandana Singh CBSE coordinator for grades XI and XII
who works relentlessly towards the smooth functioning of the system.
I would like to call Miss Isha Thakkar – CBSE Coordinator for grades I to X She is
proudly fulfilling a dual role of being academic coordinator and a teacher. She is a
very hard working and a dedicated person.
I would like to call Miss Dhara Patel – The In-charge principal of Gujarat Board,
the higher secondary section. She is highly committed towards all her
responsibilities and we are glad to have her in our team.

Objective:
Its objective is to strengthen the bond between students and environment.
To connect with trees and have sense of protection.
Report:
As we celebrate Rakshabandhan to show love and honour relationship
between brother and sister at GVHS we celebrated a bit differently.
This year our school decided to celebrate Rakshabandhan in a special way.
The students of each class tied a decorated rakhi to trees swearing protection
of our environment.
Rakshabandhan abbreviated to Rakhi, is the Hindu festival that celebrates
brotherhood and love. The word Raksha means protection, Bandhan means
to tie. Sisters tie rakhi on wrist of brothers. Similarly students tied rakhi to
tress.
At GVHS we show our love and duty to protect trees..
Students were asked to get materials from home and each class made rakhi
together. This brings sense of being together among all the students.
Teachers were also involved in rakhi making with students.
While each class tied rakhi, everybody vow to protect it.

Objective:
To celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna and bring people together to
strengthen the unity and have faith.
To be thankful and show gratitude towards mother for their selfless love.
Report:
This day celebrated the love between Lord Krishna and Yashoda maiya. All
the mothers of our students were venerated as a mark of respect and
gratitude for their selfless love. The birth of Lord Krishna was also celebrated
with huge fervor and gaiety followed by a fun-filled matki-phod by students.
School premise was beautifully decorated and palki for Lord Krishna.
Matru Vandana- where children performed ritual for their mother offered
prayer and flowers.
Lalji ka aagman was enthusiastically done by our Director Sir and
Janamashtmi Pujan was performed by Directors, Principal and Coordinator.
Students performed different dances and depict the life of Lord Krishna.
Everybody was swinging on tunes of garba and then followed by lunch.
Celebration is incomplete without Matki-phod, with lots of energy it wasn’t
easy task but they did it, everyone enjoyed Matki-phod with fun and laughter.

Report:
Furthering the above mentioned objective, GVHS bid farewell to Lord
Ganesha on 2nd September 2019 ,with enthraling music of the drums
and lezims praying “Agle baras tu jaldi “
The festival is celebrated by installing Lord Ganesha’s idol at the
school premises.
An eco-friendly Ganesha was crafted and beautifully decorated for the
occasion and each class from Grades I to XII worshipped the deity with
aarti for nine days.
On the tenth day, the Ganesh idol was then carried aloft in a procession
through the corridors of School, accompanied by the children and their
teachers. Drum beats and bells clanged vigorously to the shouts of
“Ganpati Bappa Morya” as the young devotees matched step and song
NAVRATRI CELEBRATION

Objective :
To worship the divinity and power of Goddess Durga or Amba.
The dance forms are used to educate students about the festival and its
mythological importance.
Report:
Navratri is celebrated with great joy and reverence in the school premises.
Students came in colourful traditional dresses, they dressed up in beautiful
chaniya cholis and fascinating churidar kurtas
This festival enlighted the school atmosphere and students offered dance,
which is a joyous way of worshipping Goddess Durga.
. They also danced using their colourful dandiya sticks. It was great
enthusiasm among students and educators.
Also the students who performed outstanding raas and with best costume
were felicitated with certificates by the Principal
CBSE CLUSTER XIII KHO-KHO TOURNAMENT 2019-2020

Report:
CBSE CLUSTER XIII KHO-KHO TOURNAMENT (Under 19 & 17- Boys & Girls) was declared Open at Green Valley High School on 18th Oct 2019.
The Opening ceremony was a grand affair with dignitaries like Shri Dilipsinh G. Gohil (Chairman – Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samiti,Vadodara), Shri Parakramsinh Rathod (Asst. Commissioner of Police) & Mr. Smit Thakkur (General Secretary of Vadodara City Yuva Morcha).
A beautiful march past by around 30 teams from various CBSE Schools participating in the Kho – Kho tournament was conducted followed by oath, Torch run and Hoisting of the CBSE flag.
Various programmes depicting the cultural of the four corners of India were presented.
The Opening Ceremony was followed by two days of enthralling and competitive matches between the teams.
The Management and the Principal personally observed the games and encouraged the players.
An official from CBSE was appointed to supervise the whole event.
The guest teams were given boarding and lodging facilities at our school premises.
A dedicated team of educators and volunteer students took care of the smooth administering of the event.
The winners of the Tournament in different categories were declared during the Closing ceremony held on 19th Oct, 2019
CHILDREN’S DAY

Objective:
To show affection and love towards children.
Report:
Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and
radiant possibility.”
The birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated with great
pomp and show. It was a fun-filled day for students. Teachers of the school
entertained the students by performing songs and Qawwali and a funny play.
A Fancy Dress Competition was also arranged for the students on various
themes. The students enjoyed a day fully dedicated to them.
On the occasion of Children’s Day celebration a grand celebration was held at
GVHS.
The event was graced by Mr.Kamlesh Patel of Dance India Dance fame,
The Educators at GVHS presented an array of performances, dressing up as
children and bringing back childhood memories.
A Fancy dress competition involving themes such as food, sports
personalities, gadgets, etc was held to make the event more lively and
enthralling.

GYAAN VIGYAAN SCIENCE FAIR

Objective: To enable students to understand the cognitive, affective and
psychomotor aspects of any task.

Report:
Furthering the above mentioned objective, GVHS organized ‘GYAN-VIGYAAN
Fair 2019-20', a school exhibition wherein the students showcased around
40 static and working module on various concepts of science and social
studies.
The students prepared their projects under the guidance of their educators in
the school premises in two weeks time.
The projects were relevant to their subjects and helped them to gain
additional knowledge on the same.
The event was graced by our Chief-Guest, Shri Rajesh Ayre, who motivated
the students to have a strong will to make anything possible. He also visited
every exhibit and intently listened to the descriptions given by the students.
SCHOOL PICNIC

Objective:
To facilitate students a zone for rejuvenation and thrilling exposure to
learn .
Learning and making them learn socializing skills.
Report:
A day full of fun loving and thrilling activities and an overall reflection
of team-work and “happiness together’ concept was observed and being
centered in our school picnic 2020 at Camp Dilly.
Students and teachers made it a successful and memorable day by
creating number of cheerful and glorious memories for life.
Zip line, Magic Show, Tractor Riding, Swimming, Dance, Commando Net
Walk, Burma Loop, Net Cricket, Range Shower and various other
activities made the day.
We returned back to our city with lots of happening memories and our
students happy faces , were evident to the success of “ Dilly Camp
picnic 2019-20.”

Report:
The programme began with the welcoming of the management and the
Principal with the traditional escort by the Head Boy and Sports
Captain.
The dignitaries took the salute of the impressive March Past of the
students, coupled with some stirring marching music by the band.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with
the oath being administered by the Director.
An energizing House Drill display set the tone for the rest of the event.
Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of
encouragement for the young athletes.
Gladiolus earned the position of the overall champion trophy by
winning most of the medals.
The Best march past trophy was awarded to the Iris house.
A Fun race for the educators was also arranged.
The day ended with a friendly cricket match between the educators and the
students.

Report:
The students of Grade - XII were bid adieu a grand blessing ceremony.
The host of the event, class XI, had invited the teachers and staff of the school
along with the school Principal, Joint Director as special invitees.
The school Principal, in her address to the students of class XII said that
success doesn’t come by chance; a consistent, committed and rigorous
practice is required to achieve success in any sphere of life.
The Educators also addressed the students, giving study tips to the students
she professed how success comes from time management; it is nothing but
keeping close to your aim, proceed coherently and managing time wisely.
The Head Girl also shared her experience at the school.
Class XI students put up a great show that had elements of fun, humor,
emotion, dance and music with an intention of giving their seniors a
treasured memory of a lifetime.

Green Valley High School organized a Felicitation ceremony for recognizing the
various achievements of the students throughout the year in the fields of
academics, sports and individual virtues that make up a complete student.
The Students were felicitated in two groups:
a) The first group consisted of the students from Grade I to Grade V
b) The second group students were from Class VI to Class XI.
The event was earmarked with the beautiful cultural performances by the
students of Green Valley High School.
The Principal showered her blessings on the students by the pearls of wisdom.
All the parents were extremely delighted to be the part and parcel of this
eventful occasion.
The event culminated with the hope that coming years see more and more
sharing of award.
It was a day filled with joyous triumph for the students and a pride for the
parents and teachers.

Good morning respected Joint Director ma’am, Principal ma’am, parents, my dear
colleagues and children. We have gathered here today, to felicitate the students who have
set ideals for others in fields of academics, extracurricular activities, attitudes and sports.
Today, we would be acknowledging and applauding things that go a long way in shaping an
individual.
The felicitation ceremony is in affinity with GVHS Vision and Mission i.e, to educate
children with love and care in order to transform them into well-rounded, responsible and
successful personalities. AND
to nurture the inherent potential and talent of each child and to create lifelong learners
who will be leaders of tomorrow. We aspire to create global citizens who are innovative but
also have a strong sense of values.

Light is a symbol of brightness and prosperity as sunlight expels the darkness of might

Poem recitation
Poetry recitation helps to improve verbal and memorization skills, boost self confidence
and develop self expression. Coming in front of you with a beautiful poem, is Vihaan of
grade 1.
APPRECIATION MEDALS
Introduction of criteria According to Josh McDowell, "When we express appreciation to
children, we give them a sense of significance." And this appreciation is one of the
keystones of connecting to our children.
This year we have 9 such criteria to felicitate our children for their excellent performance
throughout the year. The following criterias are
Punctuality: children who are regular with their submissions of notebooks, projects and
assignments given to them.
Discipline in school life is very important for students. Second criteria we have is Discipline:
It include the proper code of behaviour in and around the school.
Third criteria we have Honesty: It is about being truthful, loyal, polite and treat everyone
with courtesy.
Fourth criteria is Oratory skills: the one who speaks clearly and confidently with correct
pronunciation, demonstrate understanding of basic conversational vocabulary and able to
tell incidents in own words with voice modulation.
Fifth is Neatness which represents about proper uniform, appearance, maintain cleanliness
in school and take care of their personal belongings.
Art is powerful educational tool which depicts creativity self-expression, innovation and
critical thinking so sixth criteria is creativity. Seventh is language skill which comprises of
listening, speaking, reading, recitation, writing and comprehension skill.
Now coming to Participation in external and internal: students who represent our school in
competition held outside fall in External participation and students who take interest and
participate in most of the activities and competitions conducted in school comes in Internal
participation.
Eight is students with maximum attendance and lastly we have Class Topper for the
academic year 2018-19
It is time we acknowledge students for their performance as per each criteria. I request Ms

March past is all about synchronisation and team work. Marching in a contingent demands alertness and an unspoken co-ordination.” The drumbeat rolls, the band strikes up and a high pitched voice issues a command. The synchronised swing of arms and the sound of thudding feet stir something within us. Besides being spectacular, there is something inexplicably inspiring about a march past is the sense of dignity and pride the cadets bring to it.
We are extremely glad to introduce the four distinctive houses namely ZINNIA,

A well-co-ordinated march past is a feast to the eyes and ears, when coupled with some stirring marching music. Our cadets demonstrate the heel march by digging their heel to the ground, with toes pointed upwards and arms swinging rhythmically. A comprehensive march past drill they spell out, lays emphasis on bearing, marching, saluting and co-ordinating.

Discipline, concentration, fitness- all can be acquired by constant practice of martial arts.
GVHS has proudly incorporated Karate in the students curriculum, aiding them to do better

Our school hosted it's annual Sports Meet on 11th Jan 2020 and witnessed a great deal of
enthusiasm , zeal and sportsmanship spirit. Various races like hurdle race, kangaroo race,
sack race, save the water race, 100 and 200 mtr. Races, relay race, shotput, etc. were
conducted.
It's now time to felicitate the winners of the Annual Sports meet.
