Friday 6 th March 2020 Issue 21 School News ‘Well Done’ to the following pupils who received special awards this week: Reception – Ivy, Gleb, Alfie Year 1 – Fenn, Isla, Luca Year 2 – Ruben, Cecily, Mathilda Year 3 – Hartley, Ingrid, Anais Year 4 – Evie, Finley, Ethan Year 5 – Ivan, Oliver, Libbie Year 6 – Abbie, Alejandro, Lukas Message from the Headteacher What a wonderful week of reading it has been. As part of our World Book Day celebrations, each class has enjoyed a reading café. It has been wonderful to see the children enjoying a range of books with members of their family. A big thank-you to all those who were able to attend the cafes and thank you to the JLT for providing delicious treats. On Thursday, World Book Day, everybody came dressed as a character from their favourite book. At the end of day the children came together for a special assembly to show off their amazing costumes. Also, Year 1 and 3 shared their performance poems ready for the Chipping Norton Music Festival. During the day, Year 1 and 2 had a trip to Chipping Norton library where they where had a talk about joining the library. They were then able to choose books related to their topics and listened to stories read by the librarians. I hope you enjoy the selection of photos showing all of the fun that we’ve had this week. More are available as a slide in the entrance hall. On Thursday afternoon, Mrs Woolley and Mrs Hickman took a group of Year 4 children to the WOSSOP Gymnastics Tournament at Carterton Community College. They claimed an admirable 4 th place and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Have a super weekend. She has been a teacher at Holy Trinity since September 2015 and was part of the team which helped the School to achieve our Outstanding status. We wish her every success for the future.

Message from the Headteacher

What a wonderful week of reading it has been.
