One of the founding departments of GGI , the Mechanical Engineering Department played a leading role in

evolving an 'Engineering Science' based curriculum. Over the years, interaction

with industry and the emphasis on applied

engineering has increased. Working groups on sensors

and actuators, micro-engineering, applied

mechanics and futuristic energy technology have been

constituted.

The academic activities of the Department emphasizes deep understanding of fundamental

principles, development of creative ability to handle the

challenges of Civil Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve

problems which are interdisciplinary in nature.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering

3 Dimensional drawing systems are used to produce a realistic representation of an object. Some techniques such as isometric, axonometric and perspective drawing techniques are used to develop skills of students.
