Package I involvedembankment of 1.2 million cubic meterslahar for the 8 kilometers sectionincluding base course, cement-treatedbase and 8 RCDG bridges, 2underpasses, drainage structures andslope protection works.

This is MOJON BRIDGE, RCDG 5-span bridge, 175m long x 8.3m wide. Also constructed was a 200m x 6.7m approach road, including riverbank and slope protection works as shown in foreground.

STA. CLARA INT’ERNATIONAL CO. W.L.L. has implemented atailored Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO9001:2000 standard to develop policies and objectives which take intoaccount specific customer needs and a general requirement to continuallyimprove quality performance. An action plan concerning a new version ofthe standard (ISO 9001:2008) is currently being implemented and shouldbe completed by the end of 2010.

The general objectives of the quality policy are the following:

Understanding and meeting customer needs; Fulfillment of contract obligations and meeting technical and economic

requirements; Compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations (standards and codes in

force in the country of destination).

The quality policy is communicated to Company personnel through theQuality Manual and corporate intranet and is also displayed at prominentlocations in STA. CLARA INT’L CO. W. L. L. offices. Every employeeand each department carries the responsibility of achieving its objectivesthrough accurate document control, equipment supervision, monitoring ofconstruction, and handover activities.

STA CLARA INT’L CO.W.L.L. top management strives continually toimprove the effectiveness of the Quality Management System through aperiodic review of results, remedial action in the case of deviations, andorganizational changes that could affect the QMS itself. The review of theQMS is carried out by analyzing the QMS Report, which consists mainly offeedback from customers, coupled with audit results, process performance,and product conformity analyses.

The QHSE Manager is the management representative with responsibility forQuality. The basic references of STA CLARA Group’s QMS documentationare the Code of Ethics .Other relevant documentation includes the QualityManual and Quality Policy, Organizational Procedures, and WorkInstructions. The QHSE Department establishes and maintains an internalaudit programs to verify conformity, effectiveness, results and possibleimprovements to QMS. The audits are conducted by qualified internalpersonnel, independent of the area being examined. In addition, STA CLARAauditors carry out external audit activities on vendors and subcontractorsduring the qualification, manufacturing/service provision and constructionphases.

The STA CLARA INT’L CORP. Quality Management System’s compliancewith ISO 9001 was certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Yearly re-assessment audits have been performed with positive results since then.Services covered by the certificate include: project management, basic anddetailed engineering, procurement, construction and installationmanagement and turnkey supply of industrial plants (in particularrelevant to chemicals and petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power) andinfrastructures.
