Footnote: With so very few of thesemodels made and indeed still surviving, this offering provides an extremely rareand exciting chance for musical boxconnoisseurs and mechanical musiccollectors to finally see and hear thevery cream of disc box design. The restoration was undertaken someyears ago and in the passing of time, theusual ‘freshness’ of such work has nowfaded to a very pleasing colour and tone.Mechanically, it is perfect, with allrunning and acoustic elements verythoroughly examined to make sure thatthis is indeed present and correct insideand out. Note the halved disc compartmentbehind the drop inside the bin - theweight of these larger discs would havebeen enough to damage the pinechassis if built in the usual manner. Make sure you view this in detail - it isvery unlikely that another will be on themarket in the UK for some considerabletime. £6000 - 9000
