Dear All,

The recent suicide by a teenager of a reputed school evoked a substantial response from large cross sec-

tion of the society, particularly the social media. The serious ramifications of the situation were ignored,

and for the media the discussions were designed with commercial intent. Causative factors which lead

to such extreme steps are yet to be analyzed. Prevention would mean eliminating the causes. This in

turn could mean radical social reform.

Every generation ushers in changes to cope with development. Such changes are not premediated or

gradual. It is thrust upon the society by necessity. Adjusting and adapting to these dynamics is essential.

Success and failures depend upon these abilities. And, in a social order where failures are looked

down upon such abilities assume paramount position.

Deeper malaise cannot be cured unless social order changes. What has been ignored must now come to

the forefront. Everything depends on the mental makeup and ultimately the mental health. Unfortunate-

ly it is as an aspect that is totally ignored. In addition, there a too few trained people to deal with the

enormous number who may require guidance.

There are therefore two aspects that need attention. First, it would be important to raise the level of

physical activity and bring it at par with academics. Secondly, it would be worth reviewing the entire

academic pattern, to ensure that increase in work load is increased gradual and never too tiring.

Finally, gadgets like smart phones need to be banned at school level. It would be futile if it is banned

within school but is permissible outside. The ban should be total. These gadgets have toxified the brain

of youth and their capacity to think and evaluate is shrinking by the day. It is being replaced by mist of

ignorance which ultimately results in depression.

JACOMUN 19’

The JACOMUN 2019 was held on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of June, 2019. The MUN was attended by seven

delegates from our school. three delegates were from the World Diamond Council, two from the Historical

Security Council (HSC), one from Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and another

one from Committee on Scientific Exploration and Control (COSEC). All of our delegates were enthusiastically

involved in their respective committees. Our delegates were very vocal about their opinions in the MUN. It was a

very valuable experience for all the students who attended the MUN. All of us had an extraordinary experi-

ence attending this highly reputed school MUN. The three days that we attended the MUN, we felt like we were

getting enlightened about so many things which we didn't even know before. We were for the first time intro-

duced to the concept of The British Parliamentary Debate, which helped us to understand that giving factual de-

tails and using fancy words can never make us great MUNers, instead using our ability to argue logically sure

does help us to be great MUNers.

The JACOMUN is one of the most renowned and reputed school MUNs of the city. The MUN made us

much more confident and articulate in our public speaking skills. It was a very memorable experience for

all of us.

This would not have been possible without the constant guidance, support and encouragement of our

respected Principal.

Pre- Primary Splash Pool Activities

Summer is the perfect time to explore, and there’s nothing more fun than spending time in water. No matter if it’s in the ocean, lake, or

just a splash pool in the school play area, playing in the water may help children grow and develop in many ways: water helps improve

children’s balance and strength. It develops muscles and motor co-ordination. It allows children to explore and communicate with each

other, thus enhances their social skills.

Morning Assemblies

Innovator House

Date: 25th June, 2019

Topic: World Environment Day

On the 25th of June Innovator House presented an

assembly on World Environment Day. The assembly

was the principal vehicle for encouraging awareness

and action for the protection of our environment. It

reminded or rather pricked our conscience, on how

human activities have made life in the forest and

oceans complicated and dreadful.

Class IV C

Topic- Trees and Plants

Date- 20th June

The main message was that-trees produce oxygen that is life line of all

living beings. In the But if the rate of cutting Trees remains same then

we don’t have enough Trees to plan a trip, seasonal raining and

amount of fresh oxygen will no longer be available. Trees helps to clean

the air, soil and water, making the earth a beautiful livable place.

Living close to trees makes us healthier and happier. It’s time to SAVE

Trees, protect forests and spread awareness. If you want to save trees,

you can help by protecting those that grow around your home, and

planting more Trees. Reduce the use of paper products.

Class IVB

Topic- Rich and Poor

Date- 27th June, 2019

The assembly passed down a moral value, one which we all know but sometimes forget.

‘It is not our money that makes us rich or poor, but our values and virtues.’
