    Reflection

As your mentor, what is going

well that I can do more of?

    As your mentor, where would

    you like more support?

Objectives are specific to current lesson. The objectives are easily measured through assignments

and exit tickets. Agenda is in order and homework is always included. Just started to get into the

habit of Posting-It everyday. I am looking forward to seeing how you grow in using the MBC and

writing I Can statements. (Refering back to the MBC while teaching to stay on track and discussing

Circulation of classroom while teaching is good. Ms. Madorsky needs to reinforce expectations, use

of bmc, and find her comfort level of strongvoice to capture students attention and keep them on

track. When you say level 0 and listening position, do a quick scan over the room and make sure

every student is doing what you asked. Ms. Madorsky has incorporated an incentive before lesson to

get students to be active l isteners.

Ms. Madorsky has incorporated TPS into her read aloud/ and settings lesson. Ms. Madorsky should

quickly remind students of who their partner so that students are not confused. Do nows and exit

tickets have been meaningful and appropriate for grde level. Quick review of exit sl ip after they are

collected so that we can use them to measure their success and monitor who needs more help in

    that area.

Lesson plans are turned in on time and teacher always makes adjustments after feedback is given.

Ms. Madorsky always asks questions and communicates her needs for l esson planning and

activities. We both need to better communicate on lesson delivery and her specific needs from a

mentor. Ms. Madorsky is always professional and prepared.

I appreciate the to-the-point critiques of lesson plans. I like not having to have to guess what is meant by the critiques; I know exactly what needs to be

done to improve my lessons. I also appreciate the opportunity to create my own Do Nows, Exit Tickets and homework. I also appreciate the coaching in

I need support in bringing more personality into my lessons. I would like to be bubbly and over the top in my lessons like both Ms. Cook and Ms. Lambert

are. I am too self-conscious about others watching me, but I want to make sure I am keeping students engaged. I think working on bringing my personality,
