Student visaObtaining a student visa is often a long and difficult process and SCU International is here to support and assist you While we are not immigration agents we are obliged to report potential breaches
Current addressYou must ensure your current residential address is updated on MySCU This is a mandatory government requirement throughout your studies You must update your address within seven days of arriving in Australia by completing the contact details in My Enrolment If you move SCU must be notified of the new address Please note that the SCU International address should not be regarded as your preferred mailing address on MySCU
Academic requirementsYou must maintain a full-time enrolment load (as specified in your study plan) to ensure the course is completed by the end of the duration shown in your CoE You must have satisfactory academic progress (pass at least 50 per cent of your study) in each study period
Work limitationsYou can work once you have commenced your studies but this does not include orientation week A student can work up to 40 hours per fortnight during session times and unlimited hours during holiday time unless you are enrolled in a higher degree by research program

Student visaObtaining a student visa is often a long and difficult process and SCU International is here to support and assist you While we are not immigration agents we are obliged to report potential breaches
Current addressYou must ensure your current residential address is updated on MySCU This is a mandatory government requirement throughout your studies You must update your address within seven days of arriving in Australia by completing the contact details in My Enrolment If you move SCU must be notified of the new address Please note that the SCU International address should not be regarded as your preferred mailing address on MySCU
Academic requirementsYou must maintain a full-time enrolment load (as specified in your study plan) to ensure the course is completed by the end of the duration shown in your CoE You must have satisfactory academic progress (pass at least 50 per cent of your study) in each study period

Student visaObtaining a student visa is often a long and difficult process and SCU International is here to support and assist you While we are not immigration agents we are obliged to report potential breaches
Current addressYou must ensure your current residential address is updated on MySCU This is a mandatory government requirement throughout your studies You must update your address within seven days of arriving in Australia by completing the contact details in My Enrolment If you move SCU must be notified of the new address Please note that the SCU International address should not be regarded as your preferred mailing address on MySCU
Academic requirementsYou must maintain a full-time enrolment load (as specified in your study plan) to ensure the course is completed by the end of the duration shown in your CoE You must have satisfactory academic progress (pass at least 50 per cent of your study) in each study period
Work limitationsYou can work once you have commenced your studies but this does not include orientation week A student can work up to 40 hours per fortnight during session times and unlimited hours during holiday time unless you are enrolled in a higher degree by research program

Student loansThe University operates a Student Loans Scheme to provide small interest-free loans to current students who can demonstrate genuine need and whose continued attendance at the University is in jeopardy due to financial hardship Student loans are available to Australian students and full fee paying onshore international students or students with permanent residency status who are formally enrolled in a Commonwealth funded course of study at SCU

Staff within the Centre for Teaching and Learning provide academic support to all undergraduate coursework on-campus and distance education students helping them to realise their full academic potential and make the most of their time at university
Online academic skills resources provide selfguided assistance in areas such as essay and report writing and academic writing generally approaches to effective reading note-taking critical analysis time management academic integrity and exam technique
Staff also run workshops and group study sessions provide individual consultations and offer the PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) program in selected units
