REX F. DALY of the Farm Income Branch, Agricultural Economics Division, AMS, spent some time in Nicaragua early this year to study market prospects kr coffee and other tropical products.

PAUL E. NELSON, JR. is Professor of Eco-nomics and Director of the General Education Course concerned with the Social Sciences at Denison University. While on sabbatical leave in 1956-57 he served as an Agricultural Econo-mist with the Market Organization and Costs Branch of AMS.

MARGUERITE C. BURK, Head of the Con-sumption Section, Statistical and Historical Research Branch, Agricultural Marketing Di-vision, AMS, planned and directed the major part of AMS work on analysis of the survey data of the 1955 Household Food Consumption Survey. THOMAS J. LANAHAN, JR., a staff member of the Consumption Section, a survey statistician with long experience at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, played a leading role for AMS in all stages of the assembly of the Survey data and their analysis.

FREDERICK V. WAUGH is Director of the Agricultural Economics Division, AMS.

JAMES P. CAVIN, one of our editors, is Chief of the Statistical and Historical Research Branch, Agricultural Economics Division, AMS.

ROBERT M. WALSH is Chief of the Market De-velopment Branch, AMS.

WILLIAM A. FAUGHT is Head of the Fibers Section, Marketing Organization Branch, Mar-keting Research Division, AMS. He has had considerable experience in examining adjust-ments made by marketing firms to changes in technology and competitive position.

E. C. JOHNSON is Assistant Deputy Director of Land Bank Service and Executive Vice Presi-dent of the Federal Farm Mortgage Corpora-tion, Farm Credit Administration. He has been associated for many years with agricultural credit programs both in this country and abroad.

RUSSELL C. ENGBERG is Chief of the Re-search and Information Division of the Farm Credit Administration. In 1952 he partici-pated in a survey of agricultural credit systems for the Organization for European Economic Cooperation ( OEEC).

GLADYS L. BAKER is an agricultural his-torian with the Statistical and Historical Research Branch, AMS.

LOUISE PAGE is a nutritionist in the Householc Economics Research Division of ARS. She is co-author of Essentials of an Adequate Diet and A Daily Food G-aide, recent publications of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

WALTER A. HENDRICKS, a frequent con-tributor, is in charge of research and develop-ment work in the Agricultural Estimates Divi-sion, AMS.

DEMITRI B. SHIMKIN is Supervisory Statis-tician in the Foreign Manpower Research Of-fice, U. S. Bureau of the Census. He was formerly Research Associate at the Russian Research Center, Harvard University. He is author of Minerals—A Key to Soviet Power, Harvard. University Press, Cambridge, 1953.
