QUARTERLY NEWS LETTER OF SCHOOL OF DISTANCE EDUCATION, UNIVERSITY OF CALICUT
February 2019 Issue 1 Vol 1 Pages 4l l l
Since its founding in 1968, the University of Calicut has grown to become Kerala’s prestigious and largest University, known for the excellence of its teaching, research, and service. We have more than 300000 student enrollment per year spanning across five Districts of Kerala. Our School of Distance Education and Private Registration are of great help for those who prefer it. (though there are issues which deserve immediate attention). As Vice-Chancellor, I take it as an honour and privilege to convey that University of Calicut is conferred with the distinction of A grade in the recent NAAC accreditation. This is the by-product of dedication and concerted efforts from all corners. Still we have miles to go and let us all shoulder the responsibility to take this institution to greater heights. Let us remember the great saying,
"Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge"
