• Received schedule of events and mandatory SLDP activities
Governance 101 – SLDP intro
Business Meetings – annual report (activity of organization), discussed membership growth, nominated board members for next year
Bylaws Open Forum/House of Delegates meeting – proposed amendments, discussion, voting delegates (mostly word changes)
Educational symposiums – Walk through Imaging Pathology, Understanding Autism for Imaging, Harassment, Culture and Customer Service: Are we Doing it Right?
Chapter Meetings – Cardiovascular-Interventional, Sonography, Military

Flag ceremony preceded House of Delegates first business meeting
In SD, Radiologic Technologists are not recognized as medical
professionals…this affects patient care, quality standards, and even
hospital reimbursement rates
What does this mean?
We are fighting for state licensure --- CARE bill, RT in D.C.
Digital Imaging Post-Processing
Technologists were illegally cropping images – L-spine Routine
*CT legal case. Scout was not sent through to PACS. Pathology
not seen in slices, but seen in scout.
Digital Imaging Cropping or Masking
Ex. Chest X-ray with cones wide open. Bone lesion cropped out after
exposure. Patient died. They looked at original image…Technologist
was sued, fired, and lost their house.
