Seasons game

You will need: A spinner board (card, blutak, map pin or paper fastener to make)

A seasons board for each player

Sheets of symbol items cut out ( you will need more sets if there are lots of players)

Number of players 2-6

Object of the game – To collect cards which match appropriate season

How to play

1st player spins the arrow. They choose a symbol which is related to the season the arrow is pointing

to; for example if the arrow is pointing at winter they might choose snow, Christmas pudding or

ski-ing. The player places the card under the same season on their game board. Play then moves to

the next person. Play can finish when all the small cards are used up or when every player has a small

card under each of their seasons.

Purpose of the game – This is non-competitive game designed to develop awareness of

seasons and to stimulate discussion of what is appropriate for different seasons

How to make

1. Cut out board and arrow

2. Stick onto card or laminate if possible

3. Attach arrow loosely through the centre of the board with paper fastener or map pin

4. Place knob of blu tak to back of board where faster is and adjust to allow arrow to spin

freely
