Day #1

Language Arts – Log on to our Spelling City site. Link is

Students will choose Snow Day 1 List and complete 4 corresponding activities of their choice.

Then choose 5 words from the list and write a sentence for each word. Be sure to underline the

spelling word in each sentence.

Reading – Log on to Story Line Online using this link: storylineonline.net/books/library-lion.

Following the story, students will choose 4 comprehension questions answer on a piece of paper.

Using crayons, draw your favorite scene from the book on the back of that piece of paper.

Social Studies – Practice Reading Bar Graphs worksheet. Students will also use the baseball bar

graph to answer the questions on the sheet.

Religion – Time for prayer worksheet. Take some time today to pray for you and your family.

Share this prayer with your parents.

Math – Place Value worksheet.

Science – Use a dictionary or website to locate and write the meaning for these Matter words:

Solid liquid gas matter property

Check around your house for items that are a solid, liquid or gas. List 3 examples for each on the

paper with your definitions.

Day #2

Language Arts – Brainstorm 5 – 10 words you can use to describe snow. Using those words,

write a short story or poem. Include illustrations with your story or poem.

Reading – Choose a short book from home and write a book review for it.

Social Studies – Complete Goods and Services worksheet.

Religion – Draw 4 ways you can show love to others in your family.

Math – Two digit subtraction worksheet. Find the difference to each problem. Next to the

subtraction problem, write the addition problem that will check your answer.

Science - Complete States of Matter worksheet. Cut and paste.

Day #3

Language Arts - Noun and Adjective Scavenger Hunt: Make a t-chart (2 column list) on a

piece of lined paper. Go to a room in your house and list 15 common nouns of things you find in

that room. On the second column list one adjective for each noun on your list.

Reading - Daily Oral Language - On a separate piece of paper rewrite the sentences below

correctly. Read a book on your own for 10 minutes.

that person and decorate the paper.

Science –

1. Use a ruler to measure a solid you have found at home. Tell what the item is. Use the

ruler to tell how long the solid is, how tall the solid is and how wide the solid is.

2. Write 2 sentences about solids and liquids. Tell how the solids and liquids are alike and

different.

3. Name 3 ways that you can change the size of shape of matter.

Math – Matching digital to analog time worksheet.

Day #5

Language Arts – Write about a superpower you would like to have. Describe what you would

do with your powers. Remember to use your powers for the good of others and the world.

Reading – Alphabetical order worksheet.

Math – In and Out Boxes worksheet.

Social Studies - Think of a place you would like to visit. Learn 2 facts about that place and

write them on your own paper.

Religion – Call your godparents and say a prayer together.
