Loco Pocos is the latest joint venture of Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe and it is a unique new experience in Second Life®. Since the opening of Loco Pocos Island, on July 2008, the island has been widely visited by thousands of residents that want to feel the magic in the environment. The centerpiece of the island is the mythical tree, Rokeden, and visitors are invited to search the island for pages from the unfortunate Captain B. Bonnik’s journal. Loco Pocos are the inhabitants of the island and each resident can live the experience from their tiny world perspective. Each avatar was detailed sculpted and textured. With each avatar there’s also an AO and a HUD for personalization. The HUD is also scripted to personalize each accessory of the Loco Pocos wide range of toys. Their motto speaks for the whole experience: a whole new level of customization. In only a few months, Loco Pocos already have over 30 avatars, around 100 accessories, a machinima series and a fan group with more than 300 residents.

fresh faces
Kelly is one of the female avatars. It comes as a black cat with skin, shape, HUD and AO. The first time you wear it, it comes as a black cat that can be personalized by clicking in HUD. The HUD is extremely easy to use and has lots of options to choose from. For each animal there is always a female and a male version and various colors to tint the avatar.
The toys and accessories can also be customized through the HUD to create unique looks. The ears can be removed to wear hats. The toys can also be tinted into different color options and come with their own HUD. The range of accessories is wide and Damien Fate also created furniture with animations especially for the tinies.
With Halloween approaching, Washu and Damien started working in Halloween accessories as well as specific avatars for the occasion. Some of the options are the pumpkin head and body that can be worn together or separated. The faces of the pumpkins are once again customized in the HUD and you can choose to wear a happy pumpkin or a sad one. And, if you are into pumpkins, there’s also a broomstick to play around with.
For the Loco Pocos Halloween range, they created the Mummy, the Witch and the Zombie. Since these avatars are for Halloween they look as cute as the rest of Loco Pocos avatars. They are very detailed and the animations and gestures in the HUD also work in these new avatars.
Loco Pocos isn’t only an island with a store and beautiful landscapes, is also an experience. To make the experience more interesting, there are some puzzles – called dreams – to be solved. As soon as you find the key to solve the puzzle, you will get a prize not for sale at the store.
