SECOND TRIMESTER

Wearing of complete uniform is a must for all. Velcro shoes is a must every day including gym day and tag days.

Note: In case of rain or snow, your child may come

in snow/rain boots but must have the school shoes to change in the classroom.

HOMEWORK— Please…. All Pre-K4 students are expected to write their names independently. Have your child

write his/her full name before doing the activity. PRE-K3 only. If your child doesn’t know how to write yet, please have your child

trace his/her name like I do. I use high lighter. Read the direction to your child. Do the first item together for sample. Use pencil for tracing or writing. Use regular crayon for coloring and high lighting

(sight word worksheet). Pre-K 4 only. Please do not wr ite for your child anymore. I will send you a note

if you will be the one to write your child’s responses. Homework is due the next day or on the date I wrote on the paper. Encourage your child to complete his/her work neatly. Please check front and back of worksheets to avoid incomplete work. Check Khan Academy Kids daily. This is the digital part of homework reinforce-

ment. I record your children’s completed work. Pre-K 4 only. Sight Word Readers. Please return sight word readers in your

child’s book bag after each use. I call them for individual reading during naptime then I replace the readers. Please reinforce the following at home:

- read the title; gently turn the pages; emphasis on sight words and other short words; ask simple questions

Practice writing lines: standing, sleeping, slanting and curve lines (for Pre-K 3 and those who are still struggling to form letters/

numbers) Practice writing your full name, letters and numbers especially those

that we already studied Study letters and letter sounds

Practice reading sight words; CVC word families Memorize details in your Personal Information (full name, age, birth-

day, address and telephone number). Answering in complete sentences is highly encouraged.

Study Pair of Opposites Try to memorize addition/subtraction facts 5 (sample chart)

Read/Listen to at least one bedtime story every night and be able to answer simple comprehension questions ask by your mom or dad

VIRTUAL LEARNING

Uniform: Please wear school’s top (red, black, white polo shirt or complete uniform).

Video: Has to be on all the time except break time. Schedule: Please log in on time. 9:01 - your

child is marked late. Please let me know why your child is logged off before dismissal.

Monday to Thursday - dismissal is 12noon Friday—dismissal is 11:40 a.m. Break time is reduced to 20 minutes. At this time, they are already fully adjusted to the routine of vir-tual learning. Thank you for all your help and cooperation.
