    1. If you have a car be careful. When you Park you must check the time limit andmove your car so you dont get a parking fine.

    2. When you are sick and you cant go to school you must ring the office.3. When you put your food and drinks in the fridge, you must put your name and

date on them.4. When you are talking to people in class respect them and be polite to them- dont

hurt people.5. When you are in the classroom you put your mobile on silent. If it is very im-

    portant talk outside.

    My experience by Ming

On the 28th of July, I cameto CNLC (Carlton Neigh-

bourhood Learning Centre)to improve my English. Itwas my first day learning

    English there.

I was placed into the SEE2/3 Class 2014. There aretwo lovely female teachers:Jane Lucas and Fiona Nor-quay. But there are not

many students in the class, only eight or nine. We comefrom different countries, butwe have the same aim: Im-prove our English. So, theteachers teach hard and we

    learn seriously.

In the following time, I willtry my best to improve my

    English.

    - Ming

    My experience by Gemia

I first came to CNLC when I

    started learning at the

    Centre.

I was worried about CNLCbecause the buildings andgardens are very small but

    it is beautiful and tidy.

The other students werevery kind and my teacher

    too.

I liked how the classes weresmall, were more relaxed

and I had the time to

    spend with students that

    needed help in class.

I was always happy to goand would have liked it if

    there were more Englishclasses.

When I first to came toCNLC I couldnt speak Eng-lish well, but now Im very

    happy because I speak

    English well.

    Interview with HALAby Huynh Hanh

    Hala is the Community Develop-

    ment Coordinator at CNLC.

She has worked at CNLC for 10months.

Hala applied for the job from

overseas, had an interview and got the job.

She works for 22 hrs a week.

I asked Hala if she likes her job and her plans for CNLC in the

    future.

Yes, I like my job because I get to work on different programs

and meet lots of nice and interesting people.

I would like CNLC to become a model sustainable house andoffer programs that the community enjoys doing and can learn

    from.

She recently went on holiday to Lebanon to visit her family andattend a wedding. She went with her parents, and was away

    for one month.

While she was in Lebanon she visited family, went to the

beach, attended a wedding and went on Road trips.

In the morning they go to

    pray and after praying

they visit their family. Itis a very big day for Mus-
