Call for Papers
The first International Research Symposium on the Turkish World, Co-hosted by: Mahmud KashgariUyghur- Chinese Research Center at Nigde University, Kazakh State Teacher Training University and M.
Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University, March 18 - 21, 2014.
We invite proposals for the first International Turkish World Research Symposium at MahmudKashgari Uyghur-Chinese Research Center, co-hosted by Nigde University, and Kazakh State TeacherTraining University. The symposium will be held March 1821, 2014 at Nigde University, Turkey.
Nigde University is a rapidly developing institutions of higher education towards the level ofinternational academia in Turkey, and has established several bilateral agreements with a number ofEuropean and Asian universities. Kazakh State Teaching Training University is one of the oldest state-levelacademic institutions in Kazakhstan. This co-organized symposium represents strong academic relationship
between Turkey and Central Asia.
The topics of the Symposium will cover all aspect pertaining to Turkish Worlds studies, including:Turkish language, literature, education, history, sociology, archeology, art history, and international relations.The purpose of the symposium is to address various academic research questions in the Turkish world and
provide an opportunity for researchers working on related topics in Turkish studies to exchange ideas,collaborate, and establish new directions for further research.

The deadline for proposal is December 31, 2013.
The paper should showcase original scholarly contributions to current gaps in the field . Thesymposium papers can be submitted in English, Turkish, and other Turkish languages. There is no
registration fee for this symposium. Paper presentations at the symposium will be audio-recorded andafterwards published as conference proceedings.
