janusSEAL Documents version 3

janusNET is pleased to announce Version 3 of janusSEAL for Documents is now

available.

Version 3 builds on the previous version's existing features in MS Office (Word, Excel &

PowerPoint) document classification and it extends support for PDF. You can now "right

click classify" files in Windows Explorer and classify multiple files at once. This applies

to MS Office and other popular file types including image, sound and video

files. janusSEAL Documents embeds the classification metadata inside the file, so

wherever it is stored or when it is in transit this metadata can be used by other systems.

This is a significant update, which not only improves user experience, but makes it easier

for administrators to control sensitive information. Importantly janusSEAL Documents is

designed to integrate with, and leverage, Microsoft’s File Server Resource Manager

(FSRM), the File Classification Infrastructure (FCI). Security teams will benefit from that

and the improvement in DLP controls that they can now more easily enforce.
