Extended Care BedsSafety, functionality, and reliability are imperative for your facility. Basic American takes great pride in building all of our beds to higher safety standard approvals. All Basic American beds can be used as transport devices. In addition all of our beds are equipped with splash proof electronics, interchangeable hand pendants and electronics, and SilverSolutions within the powder-coating provides antimicrobial surface protection. All Basic American beds and accessories are designed to comply with FDA guidelines for reducing the risk of bed entrapment, “Hospital Bed System Dimensional and Assessment Guidance to Reduce Entrapment”. For added safety: • Grounded hospital grade plugs are standard • There are no pinch points within 200mm of the bed perimeter • Beds are load capacity and tip-stability tested and approved

We offer a complete line of pressure management /pressure redistribution products from wheelchair seat cushions to multi-layer foam mattresses, to alternating pressure air mattresses and true low air loss mattresses.

We offer over 15 standard collections, as well as several customizable options. All of our casegoods are made in the USA and available in your choice of over 10 finishes and 16 hardware selections. We can provide special order sizes, as well.

• Self-closing drawers have metal drawer slides that are tested to 100 lb capacity per drawer and have drawer stops for safety. Drawers are easily removable by lifting up over the glides.

• Ventilated backs of bedsides and dressers promote airflow.

• All units have smooth floor glides for ease of movement.

• European style hinges provide superior strength and adjustability.
