Students will still fill out their applications, write their essays and supplementals on Common App and other Unviersity Websites

What is Changing:

Students will request their Letters of Recommendation and Transcripts through Naviance

How to get a letter of recommendation from your Counselor & Teachers (Give staff 3 Weeks Notice)Teachers:

❖ Ask personally- Once they have agreed put in the formal request in NavianceCounselors: ❖ Create Account on Common App Website❖ Choose at least 1 university in their Common App Account (IMPORTANT: Application

does not have to be finished before going to Naviance)❖ Sign FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)❖ In Naviance complete the “Common App Account Matching”❖ Colleges should appear in your “Colleges I am Thinking About” Or Add them❖ Rec Letter Appt Sign Up: Lunchtime September 7 for Early Action/Decision
