My future goals are to pursue a tennis scholarship at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee. I will major in Graphic Design and hopefully one day work for Montgomery Roth Architecture and Interior Design firm. My Senior Project was teaching a boy how to play tennis and make the high school tennis team. I enjoy playing tennis, so I thought this project idea would be a good one in which to pass on all my knowledge about tennis to someone else. My product was instructing a beginner player to become a high school player. My product relates to my research paper by informing the player about how players can get an injury so easily if they do not take care of their bodies. If my student did not work out or eat correctly, then he would encounter more injuries. My final product was to have a tennis tournament and put the player in it to see how he had progressed. Problems that I encountered were meeting times with my facilitator, finding a player to teach, and also finding courts to hold my tennis tournament. The career that my product and paper relates to is in the recreational field. However, I learned that this field is definitely not for me. I do not enjoy working with sport related events. I learned that I am a procrastinator, but I pulled through and my project turned out the way I wanted. My communication skills improved because I had to contact people who were going to be in my tournament and also my facilitator and the player I was teaching. I will not pursue this field in my postsecondary endeavors. Overall, the Senior Project helped me realize that I need to get more organized for college because things are not going to be given to me. I need to earn everything I get in college and for the rest of my life. I need to always keep a planner and write in it every day, so I do not forget to do a task for the next day. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Emily C. Waters

Dear Judges:

My name is Emily Waters and I am a varsity tennis player here at Creekview High School. My

future goals are to pursue a tennis scholarship at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee. I

will major in Graphic Design and hopefully one day work for Montgomery Roth Architecture

and Interior Design firm. My Senior Project was teaching a boy how to play tennis and make the

high school tennis team. I enjoy playing tennis, so I thought this project idea would be a good

one in which to pass on all my knowledge about tennis to someone else.

My product was instructing a beginner player to become a high school player. My product relates

to my research paper by informing the player about how players can get an injury so easily if

they do not take care of their bodies. If my student did not work out or eat correctly, then he

would encounter more injuries. My final product was to have a tennis tournament and put the

player in it to see how he had progressed. Problems that I encountered were meeting times with

my facilitator, finding a player to teach, and also finding courts to hold my tennis tournament.

The career that my product and paper relates to is in the recreational field. However, I learned

that this field is definitely not for me. I do not enjoy working with sport related events. I learned

that I am a procrastinator, but I pulled through and my project turned out the way I wanted. My

communication skills improved because I had to contact people who were going to be in my

tournament and also my facilitator and the player I was teaching. I will not pursue this field in

my postsecondary endeavors.

Overall, the Senior Project helped me realize that I need to get more organized for college

because things are not going to be given to me. I need to earn everything I get in college and for

the rest of my life. I need to always keep a planner and write in it every day, so I do not forget to

do a task for the next day. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Emily C. Waters
