    Ongoing Exhibit:Remembering Yesterday:

    Queens and Its Worlds FairsRemembering is both acollective and a personalactivity. In this exhibition, bothare on display in relation totwo Worlds Fairs that tookplace in Flushing, Queens in1939/40 and 1964/65. Withinthis exhibition, collectivememory is represented byshared experiences of theFairs and personal memory bythe memorabilia drawn fromthe collections of people whoattended and fondly recall theFairs. While these Fairs wereglobal in scope, theirattendees wereoverwhelmingly local, manyresiding in Queens. All itemson display in the exhibition

    have either been donated orloaned to the QueensHistorical Society by thoseresidents of Queens whoattended these Fairs. OpenTuesdays, Saturdays, andSundays, 2:30-4:30pmthrough May 31, 2015.
