Review of Existing Procedures
Curtailment Procedures and Priority
2
Minimum Generation – Post Wind Integration
• CROP.25005 Minimum Generation
• Minimum Generation Emergency– Software will dispatch Generators to Emergency Minimum– Day-Ahead transactions can be curtailed– If the above actions do not mitigate the Minimum
Generation Emergency, non-dispatchable Generators may be reduced. (Wind is curtailed here)• In economic order using a bid de-stacker to EmerMin• Pro rata curtailment where prices are identical• Some latitude for inter-temporal constraints and system
capacity• No wind has been curtailed for a Minimum Generation
Emergency condition, post wind integration.

Transmission Curtailment – Post Wind Integration• SOP-RTMKTS 0060 0020 Monitor System Security
– Dispatchable generators to Economic Minimum– Deny Real-Time only Self Schedule Generators– Deny Day-Ahead Self Schedule Generators pro-rata– May be modified for any of the following
• Thermal constraint sensitivity• System and area capacity• Minimum run and minimum down times• Other reliability concerns (i.e. voltage performance, stability)
– Language added to SOP detailing process for making pro rata generator curtailments
