The Hants North Mosquito “A” Jays captured the Provincial Championship in Sydney on August 26th
by downing the North Sydney All-Stars 13-9 in the championship game.
Colton Tipping had a triple and double and Ethan McLellan had a double and single in the win.
Hants North advanced to the final by defeating Stellarton 4-0 in the semi-final game.
Ethan McLellan threw a no hitter and had 9 strikeouts and added 2 doubles while Carson Gorman had 3 singles.
Saturday night Hants North beat Sydney Sooners 10-8 in this quarter final game.
Carson Gorman pitched the win while Isaac Densmore had 2 singles and Colton Tipping added 3 singles.
Ethan McLellan picked up top pitcher of the tournament.
This was Hants North’s 4th Provincial Championship since their birth 6 years ago.
This was a remarkable feat kids and you all should be very proud of yourselves!!
Matt, Paul and Levi - what a brilliant job!!
You set yourselves up in perfect shape heading into the playoff run with your pitching staff.
You have all done a wonderful job with the team all year.
The team also had a little extra incentive to win as they got to shave half of all the coaching staff’s hair off
right after the game. So if you have noticed Matt, Paul and Levi looking a little different, that’s the reason why.
